Sponsoring Department: Group 1 – Marcelo H. Del Pilar

Date: November 28, 2021 (Sunday)

Time: 8:00am – 12:00 pm

Venue: Howard Village, Unnamed Rd, Santa Rosa, Laguna

I. Rationale: (Description)

Learning while playing is one of the best approaches for children to learn. Children aged 7 years old are
actively curious and are in continuous exploration about the things that they are learning. Although they
have 14 to 21 minutes attention span, 7-year-olds has the greatest thirst for knowledge, thus, "Nurturing
Toys: Bringing Education at Home" aims to spark their interest in learning about Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Mathematics. Toys that will be given are: (1) "The Magic School Bus: The World of
Germs Science Kit" which exposes them about science and technology; (2) "Edventures BrickLAB"
which teaches children how to build and solve problems that could promote interest in engineering; and
(3) "Litiholo Hologram Kit" which will tell them wonders about technology. Interactive learning is one
of the keys for children to learn and this program aims to help specially those who are unprivileged to
learn interactively through these toys during this pandemic where physical interactions are limited.
