1. COVID-19 testing: Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results for

vaccinated travelers
2. Visa requirements: determined by the passport you are travelling with and duration of
your trip hence, no visa required
3. Documents you need for your trip: Mandatory proof of vaccination /Recommended
contact-tracing app (It is recommended that travelers download the Rakning C-19

Autsria

Everyone entering Austria (from a non-virus variant area) needs to show:

✓ Proof of full vaccination (2 jabs) OR proof of past infection (the medical document
needs to show the date of recovery – (for guests from the UK: an NHS email/text of a
positive test is not sufficient)
✓ AND a negative PCR test (valid for 72 hours) OR proof of a booster jab (booster is
valid from the first day)
✓ Pre-Travel-Clearance: https://entry.ptc.gv.at/en.html
✓ FFP2 face masks are compulsory in all enclosed spaces including on public transport
and inside taxis.
✓ For people who were vaccinated with a jab that isn’t approved by the EMA, such as
Sputnik V or Sinopharm, the advice of Austria’s National Vaccine Committee is to
take a test to prove Covid antibodies and get a dose of an EMA-approved mRNA
vaccine (that’s Pfizer or Moderna) at least one month after your first dose. These two
proofs together should be accepted as 2G, even though neither antibody proof nor a
single dose of an mRNA vaccine are accepted as 2G outside this scenario.
You need to show any one of these proofs to gain entry:
✓ Proof of full vaccination: The following vaccines (including mix-and-match vaccines)
are recognised: BioNtech/Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna. Full
immunisation (both doses of the vaccine OR Johnson & Johnson + 22 days OR
recovery from COVID + one dose) is required. A vaccination certificate/vaccination
card/vaccine passport in German or English can be used as proof of vaccination;
Semmering COVID-19 rules for winter activities:
✓ There is no limitation in the number of visitors of the cable car and lifts.
✓ Mask is obligatory. One need to have an FFP2-mask on in the closed spaces,
transportation items and in the waiting areas.
✓ 2G-rule is necessary to activate your pass.

FAQ:
✓ I am vaccinated with Sinopharm/Sinovac/Covishield/Sputnik V. What can I do
to meet the "2-G" criteria during my stay?
Currently, only BioNtech/Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson and Moderna are
recognised under the "2-G" rule in Austria. However, in case you have had one shot of
Sinopharm/Sinovac/Covishield/Sputnik V and two additional jabs with an EMA-
approved vaccine you will obtain “2-G” status, too. People who have been vaccinated
with Sinopharm/Sinovac/Covishield/Sputnik V. and can show both proof of an antibody
test and a booster with BioNtech/Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson or Moderna are
also able to get a "2-G" certificate. Please note: The booster alone is not sufficient! The
antibody test is mandatory and must be carried out before the additional jab with any of
the above mentioned vaccines.

COVID-19 testing: Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results may be
