Signifying a position of authority or a position of equality (for example, when

negotiating) is quietly conveyed by seating arrangements. The easiest way to develop
good business ties is to learn the correct etiquette and procedure in any case. Nobody
speaks louder than displaying respect for place and rank, particularly when it comes to
seating arrangements.

That's how I ordered a seating plan for a meeting with Mr. Smith. I'm sitting in the middle
because I'm the host. Mr. Smith is sitting on the other side of the table, as he is my guest,
and he is also the one I'm working with. Professor Jones is sitting on the right side of Mr.
Smith, and she is the most important associate on Mr. Smith's staff. The one that sits on
my right is my assistant, since she is the most valuable member of my team, and on my
left is my most experienced employee, since she is the second most important member
of my staff. And then, sitting on the right side of my assistant, there's a new man who
knows exactly what he's doing, he's sitting there because there's what we call a
hierarchy and of all the staff members who are at the conference with me, he's still in
the lowest position.

Consider who's sitting where before anyone takes a seat. In most cases, you're going to
want someone to sit next to the screen and have guests in the middle/back. This way,
they can keep an eye on the majority of the meeting, while maintaining easy eye
contact with the presenters and other team members—and this is also one of the
reasons why Mr. Smith and Professor Jones are seated at the back part of the table.

Of course, the ability to perform and conduct business in a professional and effective
manner will inevitably boost the chances to land important business opportunities. And,
to learn the society in which you are participating, make them relaxed and welcome so
that you can have a strong connection or conversation. It helps top executives to get
to know the people they don't know as well. Bring both of them up to the table. It's
quick to hide in the back row, which signals a break from the rest of the party.

Sitting together with related physical structures provides the basis for workshops,
activities and preparation. Sometimes referred to as space arrangements, they cover
the convenience, access and protection of the attendants and, when correctly
chosen, expand the control of the presenter in the room, broadcast the purpose and
remove distractions.

At a gathering where decisions need to be reached, such as a board meeting,

members typically sit at a tall, rectangular conference table. It is essential to find a
leader who can initiate and direct discussions. This speaker will typically take one of the
end sections of the table, and the end section will act as the focal point of the
conference.
