 • At first I thought it was going to be a boring class, but Dr. Henning has a great way of teaching. Some how he keeps it fun. I feel like I have learned

the most in his class
 • I am excited to dig deeper into the Old Testament and this is one of my favorite classes when I went into the class almost dreading it because I

thought it would be boring but Dr. Henning has done an amazing job keeping it very interesting.
 • I have grown a much stronger appreciation for the content in the Old Testament and it's theological values. I learned so much about the Old
  Testament, I feel like I have a much greater understanding of many aspects of the Old Testament including the history, timeline, authors, and 1
theological themes and issues. I did not realize quite how essential the Old Testament is to the Bible, and how important it is for believers to study it.
   • I learned so much about the Torah and the Davidic Kingship line. 1
 • I never thought about all the intricate details that must be thought of when defending the Bible and Old Testament. It's helped me gain a deeper

understanding of many of the things that happened early on in the Old Testament.
   • I now have a deeper understanding of the books of the Old Testament and understand the timeline better. 1
   • It has made me know and be interested a lot more in the Old Testament. 1
   • Since taking OT Survey I better understand the overall themes and specific details of books in the OT. 1

   • This course impacted me because it made me go deeper into the old testament and made me review it more. 1

19 How could instruction be improved for this course? Course Evaluation  
   • For me, answering a question from EOT was a good personal study activity. However, I didn't find the group discussions extremely beneficial. 1
   • I enjoyed the teaching methods and Course. I found the lectures interesting and engaging throughout the course. 1
 • I have no criticism for Dr. Henning- he responded to emails, let me eat lunch with him to discuss topics I was interested in, and he asked for

questions in class regularly.
   • I would say that it would be nice to have a clearer idea of what specifics of the topic we should know. 1
 • I've been overall satisfied with the instruction method for this class, actually. It's easy to keep up with the reading, and I like how we had groups to

answer different study questions.
   • Instruction could be improved for this semester by more connection to the book we read "Heart of the Old Testament." 1

   • I actually really enjoyed this class and I have loved learning about the Old Testament. 1
 • I really enjoyed this course in its entirety, however I did not always find the study question activity very helpful. Although I found the other activities
  and assignments useful, the completion of the study question and the discussion in class was not very helpful.

I did find that the notebook activity 1
was super helpful for personal accountability.
   • I really liked this class, I'll just say. It's a fun AND educational atmosphere. 1
   • I think Dr. Henning’s teaching style was the most productive teaching style I received all semester. 1
