1. The Teaching and Learning Questionnaire (TLQ) applies to all modes of teaching activities. For teachers teaching different modes
of activities in a course (e.g. both lecture and tutorial), they can choose to issue a request to merge the sections for evaluation
purposes via the departmental TLQ Coordinators. Then, only one questionnaire will be sent to their students to avoid survey fatigue,
and only one individual class report will be generated.

2. 'Individual Class Report' shows evaluation results of a class (CRN-section based) taught by a teacher in a semester. It includes (a)
frequency count of responses, mean and standard deviation of each question; and (b) detailed responses of the open-end questions.

3. All teachers can access to the evaluation results of all classes that he/she taught in the TLQ System, regardless of the offering
department(s) of the course(s). The line managers (and their delegates) of the teachers can also access to the teachers' individual
class reports in the TLQ System.

4. 'Project Audience' refers to the number of invitations sent to students (i.e. the total number of students in a class (CRN-section
based) as recorded in the Banner database), and 'Responses Received' refers to the number of questionnaires received. All
responses received are included in the report. Response rate can be calculated by dividing the 'Responses Received' by 'Project
Audience'.

5. The TLQ contains 4 sections, namely: Feedback on Teaching, Feedback on Learning Experience, Overall Evaluation and Written
Comments. Please refer to the questionnaire sample posted on the TLQ website for details.

What were the best aspects of the course?

Comments
He well planned for students to be CREATIVE, which was very fresh and interesting for me
The teachers required us to create our own personal ig and this helps me to think creatively and made a lot of good photos.
It’s different
The assignment task is quite useful for us to learn how visual elements can be used to represent ideas in different ways.
I like that the lecturer will give a lot of example to explain the concept. The example makes it easier to understand the concept.
Assignments are interesting
In the class, we had a lot of chance to analyse and reflect visual arts which are very interesting and new to me. I enjoyed it a lot
especially because Bruno did not put pressure on us to have a perfect comment or idea. I felt free to discuss and comments with
my classmates and Bruno about topics from time to time.
Very interactive!!! Thank you Bruno~ The class is fun. I hope I can take your course in the future again!!
The Instagram portfolio is a unique form of assignment that encourages students to be creative
The subject was really new for me and it was truly interesting througout the course. The assignment, especially the portfolio one is
really creative and new.
Bruno is friendly like our friends. He emphasizes the interaction with students so that he will talk to every student in every lecture.
This may help some shy and passive students have chances to talk.
I love the creative and inttractive parts of the course, how me discuss stuff, turn out cameras on and every opinion is welcomed too.
The materials were exciting and evocative
I don’t like the greeting session (first 30 minutes)of this course. It feels like wasting lots of time.
The teacher showed lots of video instead of teaching
interactions, various teaching methods
Discussion in class is interesting
Workload is reasonable
Analysing the art piece in class.
The best aspect of the course was that the teacher had been very helpful and friendly, creating a great online learning sentiment in
the course, most of the materials taught in the class was relatively helpful and had encouraged me to think creatively while creating
visuals.
The active in–class discussion helped to keep up the engagement with the professor and classmates simultaneously.
The course provides students with critical insights on how to analyse artworks, which I think is valuable for me as I am able to use a
different perspective to look at those visual images and I feel curious to look at the contexts behind.

Technical issues
I think all the things is good
Teaching material
More Hong Kong Culture / Visual elements can be included as examples to evaluate course concepts.
No much. I like this class very much.
No
It'd be useful perhaps if the class teaches some more technical skills and places some workshops to help us equip with
tools/programmes to produce our final visual project. It'd also be great if we can learn more of how we suppose to
compose/organise different elements, texts, and images in the booklet so that we'll have a little bit more hands–on experience
before starting the project.
On Zoom, the videos shown on classes were not very smooth.
The Instagram assignment was designed to let students have some practical application of the visual elements in class. However,
some themes are too specific to be matched to the personal identity set at first. For instance, if one is doing foodie as his or her
branding, the theme of baroque can hardly suit one's ig profile. Thus, I think more freedom can be granted to students with the
themes, and so on.
We had always watched video for 1 hour, and repeat the same content of ppt slides. I hope the class activity should be different in
every class. Thanks
the ppts can have more explanation (words) and information.
I think videos in class is nice but through zoom sometimes it's a bit laggy, so that part needs to be considered for a bit, especially if
the video is a long. Because I think everyone enjoys discussion too, so maybe that's a solution
9am is too early for most of the students!
Can have more explanation on assignments
Can teach something more practical like how to design better by using some software
The assignments are a bit difficult to do during COVID–19, too many restriction cause by COVID–19, maybe can have some
adjustments on that
the content should be more theory–based and have a clear rubric on how to do the assignment
I would say most part of the course was fun and enjoyable, maybe a little bit less video showing and more explaination. Plus, it
would be nice to give us a bit more of instructions related to course works and assignments so that it would be clearer. Overally
speaking, this was a great course and I really enjoyed it.
Due to the course's demand, watching several videos related to the course during the class is a must. However, considering the
inconsistency of the internet, and lack of time, I think it'll be rather better to send the class respective links for the videos to watch
them individually and discuss them later on.
I think the Instagram assignment is a bit hard. The weekly instructions are clear, but the problem is that the topics given are not
consistent but it requires students to think of how to link them within a theme that was set at the beginning of the semester, where
students had no idea what the course was about.
