Kami ang mga dating kasapi ng Gabinete at mga opisyal ng gobyerno, mga dating pinuno ng Sandatahang
Lakas ng Pilipinas, at mga retiradong embahador at mga propesyunal na lingkod-sibil na nanungkulan sa

Paninindigan natin na sa halalan ng Mayo 2022, magpapasya ang Pilipino na siyang huhubog sa ating
kinabukasan, pati na ng tadhana ng susunod na salinlahi.

Kabahagi kami ng taumbayan sa pagkamit ng hangarin para sa pamahalaang pinamumunuan ng isang

Pangulong maaasahan, subok sa karanasan, at nakatuon sa mga prinsipyo ng integridad, demokrasya, at
tunay na paglilingkod-bayan.

Isang pamumunong may malinaw na layuning nakatuon sa pagkilos tungo sa kadakilaan, kaunlaran,
kalayaan, at pagpapahalaga ng ating bansa at mamamayan;

Pamumunong nanghihikayat at sumasangguni, at handang tumugon sa kritisismo gamit ang bukas na

pagdidiyalogo;

Isang pamumunong prinoprotektahan ang seguridad at kapakanan ng taumbayan, habang itinataguyod

ang karapatang-pantao at paggalang sa batas, kung saan ang mga nagpapatupad ng batas ay naghahatid
ng tiwala at tunay na antas ng katiwasayan.

Pamumunong talagang pursigidong ipaglaban ang pambansang soberanya at nagtatamo ng malalim na

paggalang mula sa pamayanan ng mga bansa;

Isang pamumunong tunay na nagtitimon sa gitna ng krisis - pamumunong maaasahan, maagap, at

ehemplo para sa lahat;

Pamumunong nakaangkla sa paglilingkod nang may pagkalinga at habag - pamumunong nakikinig at

nakikiisa sa nasa lalaylayan, sa mga walang tinig, at sa puno ng agam-agam;
Pamumunong talagang nakatutok sa pagtaguyod sa tama at totoo, at kinukumpas ang isang gobyernong
tapat at tumutugon, gobyernong naghahatid ng kumpyansa at dangal;

Paninindigan natin, ang pinaka-tamang kandidato ay siyang taglay ang mga naturang ideyal at nakasandig
sa napakatibay na track record ng pagsisilbi sa kapwa; isang pinunong nagtataglay ng mga katangiang
hanap ng bayan sa isang Punong Ehekutibo at Commander-in-Chief ng ating Sandatahang Lakas.

Kaya naman, tinataya namin ang aming sarili at buong lakas sa pagsuporta kay Bise Presidente Leni
Robredo sa kanyang pagtakbo sa pagka-Pangulo, na batid nating dadalhin ang Pilipinas sa daan tungo sa
pagbawi ng kadakilaan ng ating bayan. Sampu ng lahat ng naninindigan, panawagan natin sa sambayanang
Pilipino na ihalal ang pinunong tunay na nararapat para sa ating lahat.

 Joint Statement of Former Philippine Government Officials
in Support of VP Leni Robredo

We are former Cabinet members, senior government officials, former chiefs of staff of the Armed Forces
of the Philippines, retired Ambassadors, and career civil servants who served under various
administrations, most particularly that of President Benigno S. Aquino III.

We believe that in the May 2022 elections, the Filipino people will make a choice that will shape our
future and that of future generations.

We share our people’s aspirations for a government led by a President who is competent, experienced
and committed to the principles of integrity, democracy, and genuine public service.

A leadership with a vision of greatness, prosperity, independence and self-respect for our country and
our people;

A leadership that is inclusive and consultative and that will respond to criticism with an openness to
dialogue;

A leadership that ensures the safety and well-being of all its citizens while respecting human rights and
the rule of law and where law enforcers thus evoke trust and a sense of security;

A leadership that is committed to protecting our national sovereignty and one that earns the respect of
the community of nations;

A leadership that takes charge in a crisis – one that is capable, decisive and able to lead by example;

A leadership that is committed to serving the people with empathy and compassion – one that listens,
one that is able to be with the poor, the voiceless, and the weary;

A leadership that is committed to what is right and true, and one that runs an honest and responsive
government that inspires confidence and pride.

We believe that the best candidate who embodies these aspirations is a true leader who brings with her
a solid track record of serving the public; one who possesses all the qualities of an ideal Chief Executive
and Commander in Chief of our Armed Forces.

We commit ourselves fully to Vice President Leni Robredo’s bid for the presidency to lead the Philippines
on an upward path of recovery and greatness. We thus enjoin the Filipino people to give our country
