Main & Auxiliary Lube Pump

The lubricating oil system of the LMC 311P compressor

uses a main oil pump and an auxiliary oil pump to supply
clean, cool oil for lubricating the low-speed and high-
speed bearings of the compressor
Main & Auxiliary Lube Pump

The ALOP supplies lubricant while the compressor is being

started or shut down.

The auxiliary pump turns on when oil pressure is too low

from the main Pump.
The main pump supplies lubricant to the high-speed
gearbox during normal operation
Lube Oil Flow
Temperature Control Valve.
• 49°C

If the oil is at “low” temperature, it is routed directly to the

gearbox. If it is at high temperature, it is routed through
the heat exchanger to maintain a system temperature of
49°C.
