Quarter 3 – Module 9:
The Hero in Me

Gabay sa Magulang/Tagapag-alaga

Ang modyul na ito ay sinulat upang higit na magkaroon ng kamalayan ang


inyong mag-aaral tungkol sa kahalagahan ng kanyang mga karanasan sa paaralan at
komunidad, positibo man o negatibo ang mga ito. Sa tulong ng modyul na ito, makikita
ng mag-aaral na ang mga “challenging experiences” ay maaaring maging “learning
experiences.” Inaasahan na maibabahagi niya ang kanyang natutunan sa kanyang mga
kapwa-tao lalo na sa mga katulad niyang mag-aaral. Sa pamamagitan nito, mas
malilinang ang kakayahan ng mag-aaral at kanyang mapapagtanto na ang mga
karanasan na ito ay may malaking tulong sa pagkamit niya ng pang-akademikong
tagumpay. Ito ay dinesenyo para sa “distance learning” o alternatibong pamamaraan
ng pagkatuto na hindi nangangailangan ng pisikal na presensya sa paaralan, bilang
tugon sa direktiba na pagkansela ng “face-to-face class” dulot ng pandemyang COVID-
19.
Maaaring may mga pagkakataon na hihingiin ng inyong mag-aaral ang inyong
patnubay sa pagsunod sa mga tagubilin at pagsagot sa mga tanong sa bawat bahagi
ng mga gawain at maging sa pagkakaroon ng mga kakailanganing materyales base sa
nakatakdang gawain. Hinihiling ng Kagawaran ang inyong suporta upang matagumpay
niyang maisakatuparan ang mga gawaing ito. Ang araling ito ay makakatulong upang
hubugin ang kanyang kabutihan na tanggapin ang pagkakaiba-iba ng bawat tao sa
katangian, kakayahan, damdamin at pananaw. Tiyakin na sasagutin niya ang bawat
bahagi ng modyul nang tapat hangga't maaari, kapag siya ay sumasagot sa mga
gawain at pagtatasa.
Kinakailangan din ang long folder na magsisilbing Portfolio ng mag-aaral sa
Homeroom Guidance. Dito isisilid lahat ng gawaing natapos sa bawat bahagi ng
modyul. Tiyaking ito ay magagawa nang tapat at maipapasa sa petsa at oras na
itinakda ng kanyang Gurong-Tagapayo.

needs of the community.

Introduction

This module may help you realize that you can also be a real-life superhero, simply by
sharing your skills, helping others, and participating in community activities, you will recognize
your important role in the society. Hence, you will discover that you have the capability to
inspire the people around you.

Time Allotment: 60 minutes

The Hero in my mind.

Who you look up to? Each of us has our won real life heroes that we admire. They are the
people who inspire you to because of their distinguished courage or ability, good deeds and
noble qualities.

Copy and answer the activities and processing questions on a sheet of paper.

• Share your real-life hero. He/She can be a member of your family, a distinct person in
your community or a famous individual.
● Write down his/her heroic qualities and deeds which made you regard him/her as your
model or person.

II. Read the quotations below. Share your thoughts and feelings in writing about each
quotation.

My Heroic Deeds

No matter how big or small, your desire to help can make a difference to the people
around you. Can you remember the instances wherein you used your skills and abilities for
the benefit of others?

Processing Question:
1. Recall your good and heroic deeds.
2. Share the experiences that you had wherein you helped others at home, in your
school and community.
3. Copy and complete the activity on a sheet of paper. Then answer the
processing questions.

What do you think will happen if all of us will be mindful or sensitive of the needs of
others? Let’s ponder on this:

No one will feel Hopeless or Helpless.

No one will see himself as Incapable.
No one will be seemed to be Nonchalant.

You already discovered there’s a hero within you. With own your skills and abilities,
you can contribute in making your community a better place to live in.

1. Draw a self-portrait. But instead of drawing yourself as a real life or modern-day


superhero.

2. Around your illustration, list down your superhero powers (qualities, skills, and
abilities) and share how you will use them to help others and respond to the needs
of your community.

3. Use a clean sheet of paper and available coloring materials for this activity. Then,
answer the processing questions.

Processing Question:

1. What are your realizations while completing the activity?


2. How will you describe your role in the community?
3. How can you be a hero and inspiration to others?

I. In a piece of paper, draw your ideal hero. Describe him/her by giving a name; state
his/her physical strengths, characteristics, and uniqueness.

II. Create a slogan in English or Filipino or in your mother tongue about the importance
of being responsible for oneself and for others.
