Description & Scope

Saudi National Automobiles Manufacturing Company is planning to come up with an automobile manufacturing cluster in PlasChem Park,
Jubail Industrial City II, Saudi Arabia.
The US$550 million project includes the following:
1. Construction of a press shop
2. Construction of welding body shop
3. Construction of paint shop
4. Construction of a general assembly shop
5. Construction of a logistics warehouse
6. Construction of test track
7. Construction of an administration Building
8. Construction of associated facilities

2018. Since then, no further information has been procured related to its

28/09/2018 This project was created based on a market news in the year 2017. The
last update received on the project on secondary research stating that a
cooperation agreement has been signed between SNAM and Sadara
Chemical Company to build the project in PlasChem Park. Under the
agreement, Sadara will work with client's auto cluster tenants who will
include automobile parts manufacturing companies primarily Original
Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and automotive Tier1 and Tier2
manufacturers. However, since then we have not been able to obtain a
definite update as to the status of the project. Until we obtain information
to the contrary, we will not alter the status of the project, but we have
changed the timeframe to make it more accurate. In the meantime, we
will continue to try and obtain updates for this project.
28/09/2017 Ssangyong Motor Co. has signed a product licensing agreement with the
client.
16/02/2017 Budget value is an estimate.

16/02/2017 A Cooperation Agreement has been signed between SNAM and Sadara
Chemical Company to build the project in PlasChem Park. Under the
agreement, Sadara will work with client's auto cluster tenants who will
include automobile parts manufacturing companies primarily Original
Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and automotive Tier1 and Tier2
manufacturers.
