1. Purpose
To ensure the required training at all appropriate levels in the Organization & ensure the
availability of required level of skill, competence & commitment in the organization to
support structure and effective implementation of QMS, EMS and Occupational Health &
Safety.

2. Scope
This procedure is applicable to all departments of SKC.

3. Responsibilities & Authorities


The Chief Executive is responsible for ensuring that all the staff is adequately trained and
indoctrinated. The ISO Coordinator is responsible for identifying the training needs and for
providing training to personnel who perform required activities as described in our IMS
management system. The HR is responsible for conducting on job training to the employees.

4. Procedure
4.1 General
 The first preference would be to meet the requirement from the existing manpower in
the company.
 If the requirement could not be met out of the existing employees, then company
searches a candidate in the employee’s database to meet the required criteria and
resume of all such candidate are first screened out by Human Resource / HR and then
sent to concerned departmental In-charge for further short listing.
 If the required manpower could not found from employees database, then
advertisement may be given in local newspaper or can be placed on internet for further
processing.
 HR Officer makes a call to the short listed employees to know about their current
updated status (designation, company, range of compensation & availability for
interview). This step helps to know the employees details as per SKC requirements.
 An interview call is made to the finally short listed employees, detailing time, date, and
venue and contact person.
 On the interview day, candidate needs to fill the “Application for Employment”

 Interview is conducted through pre decided panels. Normally Panel includes concern
HOD.

4.2 Training Records


The training record is maintained for each employee on the Form SKC-TR-03 by the ISO
Coordinator. It gives the date of training undertaken, together with the name of the person of
organization which has given the training. Other confidential personal record relating to
conditions of employment, salaries etc. is maintained by the Chief Executive tough the Account
Department.

4.2.1 Identification of Training Needs


The ISO Coordinator has an important part to play in implementing and maintaining the IMS
System. The ISO Coordinator has been chosen because of his excellent personal qualities and
his knowledge of the requirements of the Standard. The ISO Coordinator has undergone
training in Internal System Auditing and procedure writing and more training will be arranged
from time to time for other staff in order to give full support to the ISO Coordinator. The
training is evaluated after some time in order to check how the training is effective.

Operating Procedures (Operational Controls)
QMS, EMS and HSE-related Work Instructions/Job Descriptions
Corrective Action/Incident Reporting & Investigation
Internal QMS, EMS & HSE Management System Audits (for internal auditors only)
QMS, EMS and HSE Objectives & Programs
Emergency Preparedness & Response
Applicable Legal & Other Requirements (The Factories Act, 1934, PEPA 1997 etc.)

5. Performance Evaluation
Employees’ performance evaluation is constructive process to acknowledge the performance of
non-probationary career employee. An employee’s evaluation is sufficiently specific to inform
and guide the employee in the performance of his/her duties. It is also an important and vital
activity for the growth of any organization. It gives us a justifications needed to provide
training, to terminate an employee, impose disciplinary measures, to give an employee raise, or
to give an employee a promotion. The Employee Performance Evaluation is done annually.

However management can perform this activity quarterly by keeping in view the outstanding /
poor performance of an employee.
The immediate supervisor / head of the department evaluates the employee’s performance in
terms of knowledge of work, quality of work, communication skills, cooperation level,
obedience level, ability of team work, ability to accept challenges, ability to achieve targets in
time, decision power, technical knowledge, trust worthiness, work attitude, reliability,
performance, leadership skill, work accuracy, initiative power and social attitude, by filling out
the Performance Evaluation Form.
