 It is an essay that expresses a position on an issue.
 It gives arguments that support the opinion of the writer based on facts collected.

 In writing a position paper, the following are essential to consider:
1. Introduce the topic
2. Provide background of the topic, explain why it is important
3. Assert the thesis
 The main idea is a one-sentence statement about a topic

 A position paper is consist of introduction, bod and conclusion.
 Introduction is the part of a position paper where the history or background of the issue is found.
 Body is the part of the position paper where you have to state the opposing argument by briefly describing them.
 Conclusion part of the position paper do you call for action.
 Proofs form a reliable source should be the basis of your claims in defending a stand in a position paper.
 Ethics should be observed in conducting a survey.
 Survey report is the most popular and widely used as it is the easiest way to gather information about any topic or
issue form a big number of people.
 Scientific report is a report that is written in a formal and organized manner.
 Field report is a report that sometimes called as trip report.
 The objective of a survey report is to collect people’s responses or answers about a particular issue.
 The objective of a field report is to describe and analyze systematic observation.
 The objective of a laboratory report is to present results or findings form experiments.

answer. These are used when the researcher wants to clearly distinguish the respondent’s opinion, preference,
experience or behavior.
 Matrix questions are found when a number of questions you intend to ask have the same set of possible
answers.
