THE LIFEBOAT DILEMMA
Solution:

 As this is the rule of ethics to save women and children first so I will choose to
save the thirteen-year-old twins as they are just at the start of their lives. As being
thirteen, they are moving onto a new part of your life so, It would not be right to break
them and choose only one, so I am saving both.
  I will also choose the young adults who were recently married as they were starting a
new chapter in their life and will probably bring other lives into this world. As the
future of their lives is attached to one another so it would not be right to save one
of them, so I am saving both.
 I will also save six weeks pregnant woman as she is going to bring another life into this
world so she should be given priority.
 Finally, I will also save veteran surgeon as it is a good idea to have some medical
personnel to help in the possible medical scenario.

Why I did not choose the others:

 I did not choose the old citizen because it is mentioned that she has fifteen
grandchildren, so I feel she lived her life and there are more people on the boat that
are just starting their lives.
 I also did not choose the lifeguard and captain of the ship because I think
they are incompetent as they were unable to save the boat from sinking.

  Also, I did not choose the university professor because it is mentioned that he is
prominent professor so it means he is also aged. Therefore, I think he has also lived his
life and other people are more important than him.
