CHAPTER lV

Result and discussion

This chapter presents tha data analysis and interpretation of the data gathered from the participants

Table 1. Socio-demographic characteristics

The table 1 show the socio-demographic characteristics of the respondents in terms of Age, Sex,
Year level, strand/section.

table above shows the frequency and percentage distribution of respondents according to
their age.

As shown out of thirty(30) respondents or 100% 11 of them or 33.3 percent were in the age of
17 years old, 8 or 24.3 percent were in the age of 18 years old, 4 or 12.1 or 24.3 percent were
in the age of 19 years oæd, and only 3 of then or 9.1 percent were in the age of 25 years old.

This table means that the respondents of this study were in the right age of beinh senior high
school.

The table above shows the frequency snd percentage distribution of the respondents according to their
sex.

As shown out of thirty (30) respondents or 100%, 23 of them or 69.7% are female and the remaining 7
or 21. 2 percent are male.

The table means that the majoritu of the respondents are female.

In terms of year level , 9 or(27.3%) of the respondents were in belong to grade 11, 19 or (57, 6%)
respondent were in grade 12 students. It indicates that majority of the respondents are from the grade
12 students.

In terms of strand, 7 or 12.2% are stem, 4 or 12, 1 are gas. 12 or 36.4% are humss and 4 or 12.1 are H.e
and 3 or 9.1 are ict. It implied that the respondents selected in every syrand at gani l. Abpi college
incorporated.

Part ll: Present the data gathered about the duration of gadget usage of the respondents.

This chapter present the result analysis about the duration of gadget usage of the redpondents

Table 2 shows the weighted mean quantitative description of the respondents according to the duration
of gadget usage of the respondents.

As shown, (2.96) of the respondents "Agree" that the technology can affect ou health. (2.90) answered
"agree" that they feel any social pressure by using technology. and new technologies make our lives
easier ( 2. 86) of the respondents says "agree" in i would find internet useful in my studies. Using
technology will enable me to accomplish task more quikly (2.80). We use technology in 2 to 3 hours
(2.76). I read the online newspaper on electronic gadget (2.63). I love to make calls, send sms, surf
online games while studying (2.50). Moreover, the respondents"disagree" that they are spending to
much by using gadgets (2.46).

The result indicates that the respondents implied that the most duration of gadget usage are 2.96 or
technology csn affect our health.

Part lll: Present the data gathered about social skills level of the respondents

Table 3 shows that the respondents" agree" that they are the respondents use emotional energy to
motivate others (3.00). Disclosing information about myself to close friend (2.70) Expressing different
opinions (2.70). Asking friends for help with my problem in school (2.60). Asking an attendant or a
stranger for something (2.60). Interacting with others in an extoverted way (2.50).

The result indicates that tha respondents implied that the most social skills level of the respondents are
3.00 or the use emotional energy to motivate other

Table 4 shows that respondents "agree" that they are gadgets as the communication helps someone
voice out their thoughts that they cannot express personally (3.06). Gadget makes the communication
easier and gaster (3.03). I use internet communication and the other technology tools for seld-
expression (3.00). I like to share interest and reflections online (2.96). I learn many things by interacting
with other internet users (2.90).

The result indicates that the respondents implied that the most relationship duration of gadgets usage
and social skills level of the respondents are 3.06 or gadgets as the communication helps someone voice
out their thoughts that they cannot express personally..
