01 Modals
Modals adalah bagian dari auxiliary verbs yang berfungsi
memberi tambahan arti pada kalimat menjadi logis.

Form : S + Modals + Verb1 / be

There are some types of Modals, which are:

1. Ability (menyatakan mampu/bisa) 2. Obligation (menyatakan harus/wajib)


can/could + verb1 / be
be + able to + verb1 / be Must
Have to
e.g.: when I was a child, I couldn’t swim, but now I can Has to + verb1 / be
We are able to complete the task perfectly Had to

e.g.: The student must wear uniform on Monday


She has to make spaghetti for me
