1. From 17-April-2015 until now I understand about:


 U2000 Network Management System: in U2000 I have to monitor all sites such as Backbone
Network, Ring No1, Ring No2, Ring No3, Ring No4, Ring No5, Main Road1, Main Road 2 3 4, Main
Road 5 6, Kompongcham Local Area, Bathambong Local Area Network, Banteaymeanchey Local Area
Network, Siem Reab Local Area Network, Kandal Local Area network, Kratie Local Area Network,
Takeo Local Area Network, Sihanoukvile Local Area Network, Kep Local Area Network,
Kompongthom Local Area Network and KHA POP. All these sites in U2000 I can monitor about site
disconnect, fibers disconnect, Remote login to switch to view port disconnect, Microwave disconnect.
 Tool that I always use in U2000 :
- Search tool: I can use to search site which one I want to know so it fast to find all site in U2000.
- Browse Current Alarms: use to see what time it was down or disconnect and what time it
recovered.
- Tools Ping: use to test connection and remote log in into site.
- NE Information: use to check port.

 About EMS (Elements Management)


EMS: is use to assist the user in conducting management and maintenance of network elements by
managing network elements, such as base station, terminal and front-end processor, etc., configuring
parameters of network elements, collection failure warming message of access system, providing
maintenance information, etc.
 The alarm from EMS Network System
EMS can be show all BTS that alert/alarm such as
1. AVoltage phase loss alarm, AC loss, Low voltage
2. GPS tracking satellite
3. Antenna is disable
4. WRRU_BU_COMM_FAIL
5. Link between BTS and SAG is down
6. Voice Business fail
7. BTS is disconnected

 EMS tool I always use :


 Refresh: use to see real time alarm
 Clear: use to clear alarm we don’t want to take it to long time down.
 Export Result: use to export all alarm into excel to make a daily report.
 Online user: use to see users who have logged in into EMS it’s mean that active user.
 Operation log: use to see users who have the activity since his work at here.
 Terminal Management: use to track phone number which site it’s connected from.
 GPS: use to see GPS Latitude and Longitude.
 Performance Logging : use to see port, server IP, and configure alarm (link FTP server error)
 BTS reset: use to reboot BTS when it error
 Layer1: use to disable or enable antenna.
 Calibration Action Request: use to clear alarm when it still up (running)
 Calibration Result: use to see Current Calibration result (TX, RX = Upload, download)
 Airlink: use to configure time slot and Downlink TS Number
 Resource Management Policy: use to configure Session Release Threshold and Max Simultaneous
user
 Handoff Parameters Setting: use to configure parameters
 Neighbor List: use to add all sites that are nearly to one site we want to be a neighbor these are
importance in process call if we are miss to configure it, it will be disconnect when we are talking a
phone.
 Billing Parameters: use to see billing information on this point it must be enable on charge switch if it
is disable it will not charge money form customer’s phone call.
 Verify Configuration: use to verify all configurations to be running smooth.
 BTS status: use to see real time current user number and graphic RF Mask.
 User Counts: use to see how many users are active on time.
 BTS version download: use to download version of BTS for upgrade to the last version.
 BTS version upgrade: use to upgrade version of BTS after we download it already.

 Project and team work :


- Project: provide by mentor or team leader is upgrade version of BTS
- Team work: people here are kind and like to share knowledge, I am very happy to have a friendship
with all brothers and my manager at here.

2. Summary about the work skills I have learned, the adaption and growth I have made, the performance I have
done since I entered the company.
2.1 Summary about the work skills I have learned
 Monitoring on U2000 and all EMS
 Upgrade all Macro site and Mini site
 Make daily report
 Make shift hand over
 Make test call and ping
 Raise and close ticket
 Sent morning review about fiber optic cut off and Optical fiber loss signal TX, RX
 Inform and Follow up with engineer support site and team work about problem with network
 Server monitor
 On air site
 Core room power check list
 Backbone site power monitor
 Inform to house owner when our engineer ask to troubleshoot at site

2.2 The adaption and growth I have made


 Adaption: I am respect all the rule of company, make a friendship and team work, and try to learn more
about my major.
 Growth: Since I have worked at Cootel I got a lot of new experience and know new system for
management or monitoring. I can use it and make it smoothly with my experience like monitor on
U2000, EMS, Core room, monitor power, follow up with team and engineer.

2.3 the performance I have done since I entered the company


 Respect the time, honest safe motivated and hardworking
 I can know about work flow of company
 After got training I can understand clearly what I do that related to works every day.

3. Analysis the advantages and disadvantages about myself


 Advantages
-I can fulfill the need of company
-I can finished the task that provide by my manager on time
-Respected to my manager and all brother who work with.
-I am kind, honest, respect the time, hardworking, and can work under pressure
-Can work at night shift
-Have a good communication with team work
-I can run with work smoothly
-All problem I can solve with a fast thinking

 Disadvantage
-I don’t understand Chinese language
-I’m not clear about SAG, Core Network, and BTS

 how to improve connecting with the work demand


-Try to study Chinese
-Try to make good relationship with all staff in Cootel
-Try to research more about SAG, Core Network, and BTS

4.The objectives of my present and plan


 Know all work flow in company
 Know more about SAG and Core Network
 Know more about network structure
 Plan to get Master degree and P.H.D

5.Understanding and awareness of company philosophy

 As I know that Xinwei (Cambodia) Telecom Co., Ltd. is a high technology company
and a telecom operator, providing services through fixed line and
Mobile networks.
 Xinwei (Cambodia) offers different product and service categories:
. Telecom network (038)
. Full service internet
. Terminals (Phone & Internet)
. Mobile and electronic payment application and
. E-commerce
 Cootel is the brand name of Xinwei (Cambodia) Telecom Co., Ltd.
 Dec-2011: Cambodia has officially granted Xinwei for providing telecom
services in the entire country.
 Dec-2012: Cootel is registered with the Ministry of Commerce as
the brand name of Xinwei (Cambodia) Telecom Co., Ltd.
 2018 to 2020, Cootel aims to become an industry leader across the globe and one of the world top three
telecom enterprise.

6. Opinions and suggestions to the internal management of the company.


 I would like to suggest to Company when software update our company should have e-book or
guideline.
 Open training course about BTS or have a trip to site to learn more about BTS.
 Need more training in server room
 Need more training how to check switch by remote into using CMD command prompt.
 Need more training about SAG and Core Network
 I would like to suggest to all department must be team work and cooperate in order to solve problem
and to make sure that customer have confident to use the products or Cootel network Service.
