OBJECTIVES 1. identify common nail diseases and disorders;
2. create an infographic about nail diseases and disorders; and
3. develop habits of keeping nails clean and healthy to avoid nail
diseases and disorders.
II. CONTENT Nail Diseases and Disorders
(Subject Matter) - Beauty Care/ Nail Care Services Exploratory for Grade 7/8
● Introduction Nail diseases and nail disorders are two terms that are usually used
interchangeably. Some conditions can be treated in a nail salon while some would
require attention from the physician. Nail Diseases is been defined as a serious
nail condition that is usually caused by fungi or bacteria while Nail Disorder is a
condition that can be caused by internal and external factors.
Specific Instructions:
1. Create an infographic about these three main points:
-What is a nail?
-What are the common nail diseases and disorders?
-How to keep nails healthy?
