V. Formative Test
Direction: Define and explain the following terms briefly:

1. Measurement
A learning experience, a phenomenon, or a context is translated into a representative set
of numerical variables through measurement. Assessment is one of the most important
measurement tools in education. Teachers collect data by administering tests, conducting
interviews, and observing student behavior.

2. Educational Evaluation
Educational evaluation is the process of acquiring and assessing information about
changes in all students' behavior as they advance through school. The effectiveness of
program interventions is assessed through educational evaluation. These often concern
learning, such as reading, as well as behavioral, emotional, and social development.

3. Test
Tests are commonly used in educational contexts as assessment tools after learning,
usually to evaluate learning or inform further learning and instruction. Tests used for these
objectives are linked to better student outcomes, according to substantial evidence.
Furthermore, a large body of research shows that when tests are used as learning events,
they help to enhance memory of the students.

4. Grading
Grading is a method for teachers to assess each student's performance and learning.
Grading also gives students feedback on their own learning, indicating what they
understand, what they don't grasp, and where they might improve. Grading also gives
teachers feedback on their students' progress, which can help them make better teaching
decisions in the future.

5. CIPP Model
The CIPP evaluation model was created in the 1960s by Daniel Stufflebeam and
colleagues as a program evaluation tool. It's also a decision-oriented model that
methodically collects information on a program in order to identify strengths and limitations
in content or delivery, improve program effectiveness, or prepare for the program's future.
