Note : The fuel calculations on the FUEL CALC portion of the G1000 MFD do not use the airplane’s
fuel quantity indicators. The values shown are numbers which are calculated from the last
fuel quantity update done by the pilot and actual fuel flow data. Therefore, the endurance
and range data is for information only, and must not be used for flight planning.

2.4.  Descent : distance / time / Consumption

The ENAC has retained following parameters for the descent :
KIAS 145 kt
Pitch angle -2°
Power 70%
Vertical speed -500 ft/mn

The following table gives the distance, time and consumption for a given altitude difference.

Δ FL Distance Time Consumption

(ft) (Nm) (min) (USG)

1 000 4.8 2 0.35

2 000 9.6 4 0.7

3 000 14.4 6 1.05

10 000 48 20 3.5

11 000 52.8 22 3.85

12 000 57.6 24 4.2

Example : descent from level 90 to 1000 ft, altitude difference is 8000 ft.
- Distance : 38.4 Nm
- Time : 16 minutes
- Consumption : 2.8 USG
