NOISE ABATEMENT
ARRIVALS
Noise abatement procedures during approach shall be executed by all ACFT. In case of
unfavorable meteorological conditions in arrival and approach sectors, ATS unit at its
own discretion or according to the pilot-in-command request may deviate from provi-
sions given below if it deemed necessary for safety reasons.
RESTRICTIONS
The required noise abatement procedures shall not be observed over the overflown
areas in the following cases:
- If there is ice, slush, water or mud on runway and friction coefficient is 0.4 or less;
- When ceiling is less than 150m or visibility is less than 2000m;
- When cross-wind component on RWY (including gusts) exceeds 7m/s;
- When tail-wind component on RWY exceeds 2.5m/s;
- When wind shear is forecasted or reported or if it is expected that unfavorable
weather conditions (for example, thunderstorms) may influence aircraft approach
and landing.
During instrument and visual approach flying below the ILS glide path angle is not
allowed.
No noise abatement shall envisage the exceeding of IAS of descent.
A displacement of RWY THR shall not be used as a noise abatement measure.
Air-Ground communication shall be reduced to a minimum, in order not to distract the
crew’s attention while carrying out noise abatement procedures.
Landing with tailwind component up to 5m/s is allowed under the following conditions:
- RWY is dry or damp;
- Friction coefficient is 0.5 or more;
- Cross-wind component is not more than 5 m/s.
REVERSE THRUST
Reverse thrust (except reverse idle thrust) shall only be used for safety reasons.

DEPARTURES
Noise abatement procedures during take-off and climbing shall be executed by all
ACFT, except in case of reduction of flight safety or in case of one of the ACFT’s
engine failure during take-off.
RESTRICTIONS
Take-off with tail-wind component up to 5m/s is allowed under the following
conditions:
- RWY is dry or damp;
- Friction coefficient is 0.5 or more;
- Cross-wind component is not more than 5m/s.
Course change after take-off is permitted only after reaching 830' (328').
Turning between 830' (328’) and 1160' (656') shall be executed with a bank angle not
more than 15^.
Turning above 1160' (656') shall be carried out with bank 25^ or with turn angular rate
3^/sec.
The minimum IAS of established climb shall not be less than V 2 + 20km/h or less than
that prescribed by the Flight Manual if it has greater value.
The maintenance of the minimum IAS of climb is not required if it brings to exceeding
of the minimum permissible angle of attack.

NOISE ABATEMENT
The reduction of engine power shall not be applied until:
- ACFT reaches 1490' (984');
- The established standard power mode enables with maximum certified take-off
mass to maintain the established climb gradient of not less than 4% at a speed indi-
cated above;
- Take-off flight path provides overflying of all obstacles located under flight path
with sufficient clearance both when all engines are operating normally and also tak-
ing into account possible engine failure and time period necessary for the rest
engines to develop full power.

SPECIAL TAKE-OFF PROCEDURES


Crews shall apply NADP 1 and NADP 2, and the pilot-in-command may use any of them
for reaching necessary effect (ICAO Doc 8168, Volume I, Part V, Chapter 3).
