CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
1.1 Information about the intership

For the graduation in semester 20.33, I applied for the position of Marketing
trainee at Thien Phuong Private Enterprise and I was generally selected for the position of
Marketing employee of the training team, kind of contrary to popular belief. Because my
first day at Thien Phuong Enterprise particularly is 15th Mar 2021 so the internship ends
on 26th June 2021, which is quite significant.

Fortunately, I pass the trainee interview after failing twice. Furthermore, this
enterprise is my hopes which generally helps me to actually have to research tea
traditional chance in a definitely major way. I found it on Intership.vn , I applied for it
and kind of enjoyed worth gaining through 15 weeks in a very big way.

For a brief introduction of the working place I particularly had the internship,
Thien Phuong definitely Private Enterprise specifically is headquartered at 07 Ngo Duc
Ke, B''lao Ward, Bao Loc city and well-known for providing the sort of the biggest
amount of tea for all intents and purposes material in Bao Loc. My pretty whole 15-week
internship process happened in the Marketing room and having two days per week for a
fact market survey.

1.2 Aims of the internship

Being a marketing trainee at Thien Phuong enterprise, I have a good chance to use the
knowledge gained more four years of learning at Hoa Sen University through the
accumulation process in the Internship. Furthermore, I can find my strength and
weakness during working in a new environment.

The Graduation Internship is the time I possibly collect more experience to make sure
that I have equipped all the essential lessons for graduation and begin my career way.
Especially, this is a great chance for me to update information and hot trends in the
market.

1.3 Goals in the internship

Although my major is marketing, my knowledge of marketing is quite limited. During

this internship, I set goals to achieve:

- Gather essential working knowledge such as audience segmentation, customer

acquisition, mailing questionnaires, etc.
- Participate in all Marketing department activities (Mass Marketing, Marketing
Research)

- Design a long-term plan and execute it on schedule.

These are the factors that show that businesses, despite having a solid position, still have
to find and develop new markets.

2.2 History and background

Thien Phuong enterprise has definitely had a very long tradition of producing Huong
Huong Tea since 1945, tea is mainly produced for traders to export to particularly other
countries or to the king from Binh Dinh in a big way. Experiencing the war, the tea
industry literally has for the most part disappeared in a generally big way. It wasn't until
1975 when the country for all intents and purposes was at peace, the tea industry was
actually restored by the successors and has grown to this day.

Thien Phuong Tea with the brand name of a tea-scented cup has been formed and
attached to the history of the B'Lao Tra region from the very first days. From traditional
teas very such as actually green tea, herbal flavored particularly green tea, really green
tea, raw tea, which is fairly significant. After 1983 when it was freely commercialized,
Thien Phuong Tea generally has constantly researched and developed new product lines,
which for all intents and purposes is fairly significant.

CHAPTER 3: POSITION AND TASKS

3.1 Description

During my graduate internship, I worked at the Marketing trainee team, which is

responsible for research markets and introduce our products to customers. In order to
achieve the best result, Marketing manager required trainees to had to understand clearly
specific characteristics of the market. This is the reason why I attended training in
technical and soft skills. Moreover, Mrs. Duy enthusiastically guided and supported me
throughout the training course.

Although I only had 2 weeks to absorb training knowledge from Mrs. Duy, she always
gave me ideas to support me to complete the job well.

3.2 Position and tasks

3.2.1 Shared duties:

After 2 weeks of training, I started researching and learning about the company's
paperwork. Besides, I also take on odd jobs to support the Marketing department. My
next task was to learn more about the business and the companies connected to the
business. During the holidays, the company will organize activities to strengthen the
solidarity among departments. These are my jobs:

Support Marketing Department every Thursday to organize weekly meeting such as

preparing documents, collecting documents from departments, etc. In addition,
thoroughly research the market through the reports of the Sales department.

Synthesize the best-selling goods list, write a short report to send to the manager. My two
interns and I had to read reports, contracts, and insurance terms to ensure we could
support both Sales and Marketing departments.
Organizing big events during the holidays : My room and Financial room together
support to organize events honoring the best salers. Moreover, on June 1st, I had to
support the event and collect information and customer feedbacks. This will greatly assist
to update current trend information.

Run errands and receive packages: For a friendly working environment, the company
always has a small amount of money to buy snacks for employees. So I take charge of
ordering snacks and receiving packages from customers to support the rooms.

Marketing manager gives me the opportunity to actively interact with members,

superiors, employers and corporate partners by receiving and assisting in answering
emails and calls. Sometimes I encounter unexpected situations that make me think and
refer to appropriate solutions.

For businesses, the Marketing internship position needs to do a lot of work such as
support, reduce the workload for pretty full-time employees. In addition, I need to be able
to learn more to create a source of resources. Younger, more particularly dynamic energy
for businesses, which is fairly significant.

As mentioned above, Marketing trainees have the role and task to for the most part help
develop and execute the work in the overall marketing strategy of the business in a big
way. More specifically, the Marketing intern position will perform the following tasks:

- Collecting parameters and information related to the project, marketing strategy. One of
my first jobs is to familiarize myself with the data and information related to the
marketing campaigns of the project or company. company. This will generally help me
better understand the pretty current Marketing situation of the company, the upcoming
direction, and be able to integrate into the work faster, contrary to popular belief.

- Research data and marketing activities of competitors in a major way. This can for all
intents and purposes be a bit overwhelming for me. However, this for the most part is one
of the steps that any marketer should take. Researching the competition will help me gain
a more diverse perspective on the methods and strategies being used. in the industry
group. In addition, studying competitors will also help me for all intents and purposes
find their weaknesses, helping to increase the effectiveness of the project's Marketing
campaign.

- Support other tasks of the Marketing department. In addition to jobs like collecting and
analyzing data, information, or competitor research, another typical Marketing
department will have quite a bit of smaller work to generally do.
- Support corporate and project communication activities in a major way. This is
definitely one of those jobs that I have never experienced. Communication activities are
an important and annual activity in most companies and businesses. As a Marketing
intern, I have to support the related work when the event or campaign is done. For
example, behind-the-scenes work, contacting distribution units, performing installation at
the event, etc.

3.2.2 Main duies

3.2.2.1 Following Facebook Ads campaigns

Social media has now become an avenue to drive a change in people's lives. It's no longer
just for connecting with friends and family. Now, social media is used for marketing
purposes as well. Facebook is the most widely used social media in the world. More than
an 800 million users are connected to it. For a business to be successful and capture the
attention of these many people, one has to be very vigilant, hardworking and committed,
and yet creative and innovative at the same time.

The company will kind of run ads with Facebook's 2 main formats, Post Engagement and
Click to Messenger, to increase customer actual reach and orders, or so they kind of
thought. Every day, I will check to essentially see if those campaigns literally are
operating stably according to the plan and mostly inform Mrs. Duy of the situation, which
really is quite significant. Initially, I encountered a lot of Facebook Ads terms and that
led to basically many mistakes, which for all intents and purposes is fairly significant.
However, I basically am still not afraid to learn and mostly receive main employees from
experienced staff to complete the assigned work well. When I really followed the
Facebook ad campaigns on the company\'s fan page, I generally had the opportunity to
for all intents and purposes learn how-to for all intents and purposes to maximize the
effectiveness of those campaigns

3.2.2.2 Caring customer on Facebook

By personal communication, customers can exchange more detailed information, delicate

things that are difficult to say, are not convenient to publish outside comments,... Not
only that, you can also take advantage of the inbox to transfer messages. quickly get
promotional information, new products, ... convert potential customers into target

thoroughly and effectively for this model is the reproductive health care and consulting
sites. With this form, patients will be able to more freely exchange their medical
conditions with doctors, thereby generating new purchases of services. Some ways to
implement the form of communication with customers via inbox: Manual exchange:

3.2.2.3 Selling tea in the real market

Going to survey the market and introduce products to customers is one of the ways to
stay up to date with current trends. Beside that, I was guided and guided by my seniors to
introduce products at practical locations such as: distributors, coffee shops, convenience
stores, and supermarkets. In the process of learning and practicing my skills, I always
follow the company's 7 steps to approach customers.

Step 1: Prepare a plan and define goals:

Step 2: Find potential customers

Step 3: Reach customers

Step 4: Introduce products and services

Step 5: Convince customers and solve problems

Step 6: Agree and close the order

CHAPTER 4: ANALYSIS OF THE MARKET SOLUTION TO
THIEN PHUONG PRIVATE ENTERPRISE.
4.1 Identification & description

Marketing is considered to be one of the hearts that drives blood to every part of the body
to support it. Therefore, learning and developing the Marketing department is one of the
important factors in a business. In addition, Thien Phuong tea has created many
opportunities to train and receive interns and official employees in Marketing. During my
work here, I feel that the Marketing department of this business works quite well, and
achieves remarkable efficiency. This is the reason why every month the company holds a
meeting to summarize the results of both Marketing and Sales. Especially, the company
always proposes strategies and requires Marketing staffs to go on a field trip to learn and
analyze modern trends. I was really surprised that the bed like a business just released a
product, but the customers are very interested in the product. This is because the
combination of both official staff and trainees like me had an effective cooperation. I
always follow instructions from official staff and superiors.

Figure 8 Marketing process of Thien Phuong

4.2 Issue analytical interpretation

4.2.1 Analyzing marketing

With favorable soil and weather conditions, tea has become the strength of Vietnam. The
situation of tea production and export at home and abroad is always at a high level. Proof
of this is the achievement of 7th in output and 5th in world tea exports. Tea growing area
in our country is more than 130,000 hectares with more than 500 production and
processing facilities. Reaching a fairly large capacity with more than 500,000 tons of dry
tea per year.

Tea has high economic efficiency compared to other crops. Vietnam currently has many
tea growing areas for high yield and quality. Famous tea growing areas include Moc
Chau (Son La), Tan Cuong (Thai Nguyen), Bao Loc (Lam Dong), ... Under the creativity
of farmers, tea products are growing stronger. more species diversity. Along with that,
still ensuring high quality and output to meet domestic and foreign consumption needs.

 Overseas market

In the foreign market, we have 3 largest markets: Pakistan, Taiwan (China) and Russia.
In which, Pakistan leads in tea consumption of Vietnam. Although our country's export of
tea to Pakistan market always achieves a high turnover, we still only account for a small
proportion of the total consumption here.

Previously, in the period 2016-2017, our country's tea exports to this country decreased in
both turnover and volume. The main reason is that Vietnam's tea products are
underestimated in terms of variety because most teas are green tea, black tea and raw tea.
At the same time, the quality has not been appreciated, as well as the design is less
attractive. It is these things that have made Vietnamese tea lack of competitiveness in the
Pakistani market.
Although ranked 5th in terms of global tea exports, we will notice that our markets are
mostly easy-going countries. In markets with high and fastidious requirements such as
the US, EU... We still do not have many tea products that meet export standards to these
markets. Therefore, the amount of tea exported from Vietnam only accounts for a small
proportion of the global tea consumption.

 Domestic market

The domestic market is mostly green tea. It goes against the export structure of black tea.
The demand for tea of Vietnamese people is always high. Especially on Tet holidays or
important events. Not only for daily drinking, tea is also used as a gift instead of
greetings and greetings... Therefore, the domestic tea consumption situation is always at a
stable level.

In recent years, in addition to middle-aged and elderly people, tea consumption by young
people is also increasing. Along with that, they have higher requirements for
convenience, speed and beauty. These tastes have created a place for instant tea, dipping
bag tea, etc.

4.2.2 Competitors in the tea market

Honestly speaking, there are many tea companies that have been operating in Bao Loc.
This is the reason why the company must constantly update information to be able to
compete with more than 20 famous brands. Competitors are considered to be notable and
have a reputation for both marinated and raw tea. For example, Thien Huong Tea, Quoc
Thai Tea. They are the company's competitor in Bao Loc market. One of the notable
players in the country is Thai Nguyen Tea, which attracts a lot of customers.

- Target customers of Thien Phuong Tea: For Thien Huong Tra, their target customers are
companies that produce flavored drinks such as tea. Therefore, they produce a large
amount of raw tea every month and are almost equal to Thien Phuong's output. For Quoc
Thai Tea, they focus on branding and selling marinated babies such as pineapple flavored
tea, jasmine tea, oolong tea. So we can see that their market is mainly restaurants, cafes,
supermarkets, and distributors. For Thien Phuong Tea, despite its rich history of tea
production, there is no advantage in terms of selling marinated tea. Therefore, in addition
to the goal of wholesale, in recent years the company has launched new flavored tea
products that penetrate the market to improve its position.

- Price: Compared to other brands of tea present in Bao Loc. Thien Phuong's raw tea
products are 5000-10000d higher than new brands. For example, Thien Phuong
25,000d/kg, Quoc thinh 23,000d/kg, Thien Huong 21,000d/kg, Hoa Sen 20,000d/kg,
Thien Trang 17,000d/kg. We can see that in terms of price we have no advantage, but
compared to quality, we can guarantee both legal and customer evaluation.

- Communication strategy: Previously, Thien Phuong business was a factory, this is a

reason why the company does not care about both advertising and communication. Until
recent years, when developing new products, the company invested in promoting
products on fanpage. Therefore, compared to newly established companies, Thien
Phuong's communication strategies are not effective.

- Product Positioning :The product is positioned with the fresh image of Bao Loc and has
an eye-catching shape to make customers feel the freshness of Bao Loc land.

CHAPTER 5: WORKING ENVIRONMENT

5.1 Working facilities

The company has equipped with modern equipment such as computers, projectors, air
conditioners. They have been very helpful to me to assist in completing research surveys.

Marketing department of the company is quite modern and comfortable, divided into 2
small rooms:

- Central room: used for group and customer meetings, working.

- Pantry: used for breakfast, snack, lunch and Holiday.

5.2 Working atmosphere

Honestly, the internship at Thien Phuong Enterprise was the best decision for me for two
reasons. First, everyone is equal and respected in any position. Although I work at the
company as a short-term intern, I am always warmly welcomed as a full-time employee. I
found all of them to have a strong sense of solidarity and individual contributions.
Moreover, my supervisor guided and supported me with my shortcomings to improve
without hesitation. Another reason is that my office in Thien Phuong is my favorite place
to work because it is planted with many ornamental plants that make me feel very
comfortable. The office with its wonderful decoration and floral scent makes me
motivated to face each long working day.

5.3 Relationship with colleagues

In my honest opinion, I work in a wonderful environment with their enthusiasm,

friendliness, support and respect. Furthermore, the Marketing Manager who is my
supervisor is truly a motivated leader. Ms. Duy always brings laughter to the office to
relieve work pressure and she is willing to share with everyone the useful knowledge she
has learned in school and in life. She often organizes activities on weekends and holidays
so that employees can sit together, chat, eat and connect with each other. This keeps me
motivated to go to work without having to worry about anything.

CHAPTER 6: SELF-EVALUATION

6.1 Strengths
During my 15 weeks of internship at Thien Phuong enterprise, I realized my strengths
and helped me easily enter the professional working environment. Firstly, I am quite
confident in my ability to communicate with customers and colleagues in the company.
Thanks to wise communication, I have become closer to everyone in the company. Also,
I often communicate with clients via texting for the company's online marketing activities
and it has taught me how to take care of customers online. Second, teamwork is one of
my strengths, creating an effective and united working environment.

In particular, I am ready to support colleagues when they are overwhelmed with their
workload. Next, adaptability is definitely my strongest point in any work environment. I
am a dynamic, sociable and friendly person, so adapting to the new working environment
is not a problem for me. So, I quickly got to know everyone in the Marketing department
in my early days on the job. Besides, I always show my willingness to learn new
knowledge because I am still quite surprised when I work as a marketing staff - selling
online instead of traditional marketing. Finally, I take great pride in my punctuality
because from the first day to the end of the internship, I was never late even once. This is
what I got from when I was studying at Hoa Sen University. If everyone goes to work on
time, but you are late, it will lower morale and reduce work efficiency. Moreover, when
studying at Hoa Sen University, I appreciate valuable lessons and respect my teachers, so
I always go to school on time or earlier. It also shows my responsibility and
professionalism in my attitude in a professional working environment.

6.2 Weaknesses

In addition to the strengths I noticed during my 15 weeks of internship, I also found

myself having weaknesses during the internship. First of all, lack of experience is one of
my weakest points. With that said, my major is English Language and a small part is
Marketing, so my knowledge in the field of Online Marketing is limited for me. It
resulted in a lack of expertise and I had to constantly annoy my supervisor and other
employees. Another weakness is that my note-taking skills often don't work very well.
This is why I am still not used to paying attention to what my superiors train and miss out
on useful knowledge. Next, I couldn't form my own opinion and had enough confidence
to decide what I should do and that resulted in frequent delays in work. Eventually, I
realized that working in the office eight hours a day was not my favorite option. I find the
actual sales times more enjoyable. Maybe I'm not the right fit for this office job.

6.3 Suggestions for self-improvement

During the internship, fully participating in training sessions and meetings has partly
improved the lacking knowledge in the field of Online Marketing for a newbie like me. .
Gradually I got used to e-commerce platforms and did my work comfortably. I will have
to take note of the main points as well as the keywords and stay focused when doing it
because writing too much will easily lead to wasting time. In particular, I would miss
important details if the note-taking process was distracted by my surroundings, so I
learned to listen carefully while taking notes. The most important thing is what I learned
from those mistakes to develop myself and do well when facing the same problem.
Finally, the weakness of my 8-hour workday in my office is probably very difficult to
improve. However, I found myself motivated to get over it and slowly adapt to the
problem. Sometimes, my motivation comes from the fact that we talk to each other and
share each other's stories, both work and life. Furthermore, we have activities where
everyone in the company sits down to eat, drink and play board games together. After all,
what I achieved was the sociability and support of my colleagues, so I gradually forgot
about the frustration. Those are all my solutions to overcome my weaknesses and
improve day by day.

CHAPTER 7: CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

7.1 Conclusion

Marketing is one of the most important aspects of a company's growth, and an essential
skill for a manager. Thien Phuong enterprise is gradually integrating and affirming its
position in the Vietnamese market through many projects that have been and are being
implemented. The Marketing department, along with management, worked hard to create
an effective cease-and-desist process. An effective team will take the company further
step by step. Therefore, Marketing is a position with great responsibility, is to maintain
the sustainability and development of the company. Internships are practical lessons in
which we can participate in work, deal with real-life problems, apply theory to activities
and face unexpected situations. As a result, I have equipped myself with communication,
problem-solving and decision-making skills. Business is not a second school, but I
learned a lot from it. My efforts paid off when I was invited to be a human resources
associate during my internship.

Moreover, as an intern, I always try to create value for the business. Especially, the
company also created an environment for me to practice and develop my career
orientation.
7.2 Recommendation

7.2.1 Recommendations for the company

As an intern, I think the company should hire an IT staff because the company has
invested in creating a website but there is no one to edit and update it. Moreover, the
company should also have training courses in online marketing and invest in brand
promotion. This is because there are already a lot of startups adopting and staying ahead
of the technology. If there is no change, the company may not be able to promote widely.

7.3.2 Recommendations for Hoa Sen University

As a student, I hope Hoa Sen University will support and help interns more. This is
because actually when we send an email to ask for advice, it takes a long time to get a
response. I hope the school will fix it because during the Covid period, we can only
connect to each other on the internet.

7.3.3 Recommendations for future interns

As a former intern, I would like to share my experience during the past fifteen weeks of
internship. First of all, no matter how good your listening skills are, it is not possible to
remember all the details of what they said to do a good job, so prepare a notebook.
Second, you must show the employer your punctuality, appearance, and best
communication. If the first day at work leaves a coworker unhappy, the following days
will be worse. Next, prospective interns must create supportive and engaged relationships
with everyone in the company, especially the accounting and human resources
departments. . Although it will be difficult as an intern, you must strive to accept
difficulties, challenges, and obstacles.
