There are many differing types of labeling machines. They range from small handheld devices to massive factory
items. Some are incredibly inexpensive while others represent a major investment. Let us look at the three most
common types of labeling machines. These three machines handle almost every labeling job.
Automatic Label Applicators
Automatic applicator labeling machines are used for high-volume jobs. A conveyor belt moves the item to be
labeled into position where it is sensed and a label is applied. If you imagine the kind of massive labeling machines,
you may find in a busy factory, you are thinking about automatic applicators.
Price- US $ 8000-1000
Semi-automatic labeling machines are often used in a slightly less hectic environment than their fully automatic
counterparts are. When semi-automatic machines are used, a person manually positions the item to be labeled and
then activates one of the labeling machines. The label is applied mechanically. They are sometimes referred to as
“print and apply” labeling machines.
Electrical Dispensers
Labels can be dispensed as necessary using an electric tool before being applied to the product by hand. These
dispensers are the least expensive labeling machines and are usually used in relatively low-volume situations or
when labels are only occasionally required. By automatically dispensing the next label to be used, they do increase
efficiency over using a simple roll of labels.
Automatic, semi-automatic and electrical dispenser labeling machines are probably the three most common types
encountered. Almost any labeling job can (and is) handled by one of these systems. Machines are chosen based on
the amount of labeling to be done, and the different types of machines are built to handle different workloads.
SEMI-AUTOMATIC ROUND BOTTLE LABELLER
Microprocessor controlled, stepper motor driven semi-automatic labeling machine, adjustable for cylindrical
containers from 25mm diameter to 110mm diameter. Labels up to 200mm x 300mm can be applied. The bottles are
fed into the machine by hand, and the operator pulls a lever which initiates the labeling cycle.
Powered rollers rotate the bottle, and the label is dispensed and applied at rotation speed, ensuring an accurate,
wrinkle-free, smooth application. The waste backing paper is neatly wound onto a separate take up spool, and can be
discarded at the end of the production run. The machine can accommodate a full roll of labels up to 300mm
diameter. The waste take up spool can accommodate the waste backing paper from a full roll of labels.
