ARTS PROGRAM
MAPEH Department

I. Introduction

Arts activities has always been an important part of the school curriculum under the
MAPEH Program.

Arts is an expression of oneself and an outlet of emotion which help avoid depression.
Arts varies according to the student’s talents, interest, and capabilities. The school aims to
develop their potentialities and skills for self-improvement in the different filed of the arts such
as singing, dancing, and playing instruments.

LHNHS Choral gets to enhance abilities of members in singing as well as social,


emotional, and intelligence skills.

Hiliugyon Dance Ministry aims to cultivate the positive and religious values of each
students. To be matured in dancing, developed teamwork, discipline, respect, confidence, and a
sense of joy when performing.

Psalm 150 aims to foster club unity through music listening, practicing and
performances. Provide students with knowledge so that they can read music on their own.
Lastly, to boost self-confidence of the students through public performances.

The School’s Supreme Student Government recognizes the three art classes are legit
organizations. (see V. Supporting Documents)

IV. Results
Choral
Selected members of Choral joined the division Festival of Talent 2019, a song writing contest.
called Likhawitan, held at ABES I, last November 26, 2019. The group won 3 rd place on the said event.

HDM
The Hiliugyon Dance Ministry were invited by Kabuhi Foundation to perform in their DAIGON
show at Kansilayan Gym last December 7, 2019.

Psalm 150

The club were given a chance to perform once a month during school subject culminations and
other programs.
