 INTRODUCTION
Civil engineering is a course that deals with developing structures or

infrastructures that give as benefit to live in a comfortable way. This is the degree that deals

with discovering shape, building, maintaining and expanding societies.

This introduction talks about the importance of civil engineers in other

professions which means that it tackles the benefits that you get in giving the importance of

civil engineers. It is also about the significance of civil engineers in a developed and

progressed society and it also covered with the topic about the promoting green engineering

in a fast-developing country. Lastly, helping the profession of civil engineering in providing

the people a quality life style. These topics are all about the importance of civil engineering

that is a big help in making a progress and a develop society.

1.Explain the importance of civil engineers in other professions.

Answer:
There are many responsibilities that engineers need to do especially civil engineers,

they are the one who make the development of the society. They are the responsible for

implementing buildings, bridges, roads, tunnels, and etc. They apply the civil engineering

principles to secure that the constructed structures are safe and sturdy.

This big responsibilities in civil engineers can benefit the all the people in society

especially other professions who needs the different structures that the civil engineers

build. When you take a shower, you need water that engineers will definitely create a

pump of water to supply your needs. When you go to your office you officially take a

transportation vehicle which is also related to engineers because they probably create a

road or bridges. This is the benefit that civil engineers can provide in our society, so it is

important that we have engineers cause without engineers we will probably stock on

what we have in the past and not making any progress or development. Because without

engineers, we don’t have roads, bridges, buildings, structure and infrastructure. These

things are the common and basic needs that we need to obtain in order to live in a

comfortable way.

All professions are important cause all profession is the need of our society in order

to develop and enhance our community. But civil engineers have a big role and big part

of our society because engineers are almost the one who build and create all the basic

needs that we used in everyday life and that makes the important of the civil engineers in

other professions.

2. Explain the significance of civil engineers in a developed and progressed society.
Answer:
Civil engineers are the one who provide our needs in developing our society. They

are the one who made infrastructure and other structure that can satisfy the needs of all

people. Any infrastructure that our modern society needs, all of them are input by engineers

along the way.

There are different types of engineers that can physically expert in their major. This

are the construction engineers and managers, geotechnical engineers, structural engineers,

transport engineers, water engineers and other specialize engineers. The construction

engineers and managers are the one who is essentially do all the decision making while the

geotechnical engineers are the one who built tunnels and dams and other structure that

related to the ground and technically these infrastructures are the main source of water

that we need. Structural engineers are the one who build our shelters and building that can

help our society to improve our economy. While the transport engineers are the one who is

responsible in transportations ways. Lastly are the water engineers that is responsible in

water levels, flood prediction and groundwater. They ensure us to secure our safety in any

disasters that we encounter especially flashfloods, tsunami and any vulnerable disaster that

is related to the ocean.

Civil engineers are the one who made the development and progress in our society

that can cause innovation and enhance improvement to our country. They thinking up ways

on how to improve their designs and what they can create in the near future.

3. How will a civil engineer promote green engineering in a fast-developing country?

Answer:

In promoting green engineering, civil engineers are the one who make plan to

ensure the safety of the environment. Some engineers are using an efficient way to

minimize the materials they are using in order to maintain the source of natural resources.

Civil engineers have a big impact to secure the natural resources regarding the

materials that they used in building the structures. They need to consider the advantages

and disadvantages, the positive and also the negative ways on creating an infrastructure.

Because their work is increasingly complex which means they need to integrate the

consideration of whole-life environmental and social impacts. They need to think wise on

how to use the natural resources, minimum adverse impact and maximum positive impact

on people and the environment. In order to achieve this goal, the civil engineers make a

plan that is good for all especially for the environment. Some engineers make an echo-

friendly structure which is a big help to our environment because our natural resources are

limited so they need also to consider that thing. The sustainable development concept is the

one that they need to know because this is required of all the engineers especially in making

infrastructure.

The sustainable development concept is the process that consider the concerns of

the environment especially our natural resources. It helps the society to promote the green

engineering which satisfy the needs of environment especially the needs of the people.

4. As a future civil engineer, how can you help the profession of civil engineering in

providing the people a quality life style?

Answer:

Civil engineers can provide structures that are basically need by people. They

are the one who is responsible in considering the safety of the materials they used in order

to secure the safety of the people.

As a future civil engineer, I can help the profession of civil engineering in

providing the people a quality life style by designing the structures that they wanted. I can

also consider the materials, the location site, and the other factors that can affect the

structures. In considering the design and style of the house and also the quality of the

materials that is used. Location site is also important to know what kind of soil is used in

order to make a strong foundation that can’t simply destroy by any disaster. As a future civil

engineer, I need also to consider the modern designs to keep up with the trends and also to

learn new techniques and style on how to build a modern structure. Lastly, I need to make a

collaboration in other engineers and architect to make a plan to ensure that the structure

will be built as safe as it is.

Being an engineer is not easy, you need to consider all the effects that is possibly

happen. Considering the environment, safety precautions, materials, design and style, and

etc. But all in all, you need to make a comfortable and stable structure in order to make a

quality life style.
