We have learned how communicaton is being affected by Media and Information. We also
discovered the differences between and among media literacy, information literacy and
technology literacy. And we learned how to use media and information responsibly.
In this lesson, you will be introduced to the evolution of media and how this shaped the values
and norms of our society today.
What’s New
Activiy 1 DRAW IT! Using the box below, draw a one (1) Communication Medium or
Platform that could represent each media age. You can illustrate a logo, an item or anything
that best represents each media age. You can also use other resources to complete the
activity.

What Is It
There are four imporatant ages in the evolution of media: the Prehistoric Age (also called the
pre-industrial age), the Industrial Age, The electronic Age, and the New Media Age.

To put into use the things you have learned, answer the attached Learning Activity
Sheet on Introduction to Brief History of Media.
What I Can Do
PHOTO ALBUM: Choose a social media platform that you are comfortable with and
post the Media Evolution Timeline with description in each photo. You can use
multiple compelling images form a photo album, etc. Submit the link to your teacher.
For offline material, you can cut out images and paste them in a short bond paper for
compuilation. Make sure to put description to each images.
