key concepts of coordinate geometry.
CORE VALUES: Wisdom, Integrity, Harmony
TRANSFER GOAL
Students on their own will be able to formulate and solve real world problems involving measurements through understanding and applying the most appropriate
strategies to become critical problem solvers.

Performance Task – “MATH-ster Piece Function” (Groupings)

The SJS The ONE club (Mathematics club), will be sponsoring an art exhibit for aspiring visual artists during the Math Day Celebration. Your group wants to
submit an entry for the said exhibit. However, since the sponsor is a mathematics club, the entry must have a mathematical concept incorporated in each artwork.
Your goal is to create an “authentic” artwork using circles. The details and guidelines of your task will be given separately.

Enduring Understanding Essential Questions

The students will understand that the coordinate plane permits the use of Students will keep considering the following questions:
algebraic methods to get geometric results in order to solve situational problems. 1. How do algebra and geometry work together to get geometric results within
the coordinate plane?
