WASTE MANAGEMENT

I. OBJECTIVE:
Objective of this document is to detail the procedure of waste management in Orange Kalbe Limited.
II. SCOPE:
The scope of this document is to define the actions and responsibilities of the PGA Manager involved in
managing the waste.
III. RESPONSIBILITY:
PGA Manger is responsible for the waste management and verify by QA Manager.

VI. PROCEDURE
1. Production waste is always from the inside through the emergency entrance created in
production through which the operator involved in disposing generated waste can pass at every
interval they generated any waste. Production department usually weighs the waste generated
and submits the record to PGA department.
2. Engineering department dispose their waste from outside by collecting the waste room key from
PGA department.
3. Other units outside also dispose their waste from outside for a better and safe working condition.
4. PGA supervisor to monitor the waste room daily and report to PGA Manager for immediate
action.
5. The PGA supervisor to decide when to transfer the waste to ODL waste for Lagos Waste
Management to pick from there.

6. The movement of the waste from OKL to ODL is done with nylon (waste cover) and iron trolley
to be monitored by PGA supervisor.
7. The transfer to ODL waste is done at least two times a week to maintain the good working
condition of the company.
8. Different ways of disposing waste in OKL are as follows:
- Crushing: Collect the waste in nylon and crush in crushing machine before disposing.
- Granules: Collect in a nylon and pour water before disposing.
- Control Waste: Destruction of waste from medik 55, cannon Extra and raw materials are
only done through the supervision of NAFDAC authorities.

CAUTION
1. Each new document should be clearly explained to all concerned employees and
should be implemented in accordance with the contents of the document, without any
addition or subtraction.
2. The document must be stored / placed at work area of the document user.
3. In the event of a document replacement, the document holder must immediately
destroy the old document.
4. Any consequences caused by not destroying the old document is the responsibility of
the holder of the document.
5. The definition of the holder of the document is all employees whose names are listed
on the Distribution.
