Introduction Pre-Lesson Activities

Introduction
Discuss what was learnt in previous lessons and ask a couple of questions about the content from those lessons
Read today’s Lesson Objectives and check for understanding of the objectives and language/key terms in the Learning Objectives
Read to students ‘how’ they will demonstrate (assessable) evidence that they have achieved the Learning Objectives.
Check for understanding of the tasks and ask children to re-tell and/or paraphrase ‘how’ they will demonstrate that they have achieved the Learning

Main Body I Do: Show movement with correct form
Warm-Up: Tornadoes and Twisters: In the warm-up ‘Tornadoes and Twisters’ children pair up and name themselves either as a tornado or a twister.
Skills Recap: Use the Lesson Presentation to remind children of all the different skills they have learnt over the past
5 sessions. Can the children describe the different skills?

We Do: All of students will copy the movement
You Do:
Natural Disaster Montage: Children will work in small groups of 4-5 to create their own dance montage made up of at least 3 different natural disasters.
Conclusion 1. Re-Cap on ‘what’ has been learned
2. Question and answers to students on what has been learned
3. Ask students if they achieved the objectives, if they did, as them how, if not ask them how they can achieve them in their own time and achieve the
next lesson’s objectives.
