IV. PROCEDURES These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that students will learn well. Always be guided by demonstration of learning by the students which you can infer from formative
assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing students with multiple ways to learn new things, practice their learning, question their learning processes, and draw conclusions about what they learned
about their life experiences and previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment for each step.

1
A. Reviewing the previous lesson Preliminaries/Introduction (What I
or presenting the new lesson need to know)

 To begin the learning

session, have a short sharing of
experiences about what happened
the day before.
 Present the objectives for
the days’ lesson.
B. Establishing a purpose for the Pre assessment (What I know)
lesson
 Let the learners read the
article on page 3 and have them
answer the questions on page 4.
C. Presenting Review/Motivations (What’s In)
examples/Instances of the
new lesson  Have the learners answer
the activities on pages 5 - 6. This
will help them recall the lesson in
their previous grade level which
they will need to be able to
understand the lesson well.
D. Discussing new concepts and Initial Activity/Discovery (What’s
practicing new skills # 1 New)

 Let the learners read the

remaining part of the story and
answer the questions that follow it.
E. Discussing new concepts and Discussion of the Topic (What Is It)
practicing new skills # 2
 In this part, allot enough
time as the learners proceed to the
discussion of the lesson. Let the
learners study the discussion
alone, but entertain all queries
pertaining to the lesson.
F. Developing mastery Enrichment Activities (What’s More)
(leads to Formative

different activities that will measure
learners’ understanding of the lesson.

Give them reasonable time to answer
all independent activities and
independent assessment from pages

concepts and skills in daily
living  Guide the learners in
accomplishing this task. Emphasize
that they are going to write one
paragraph only.
H. Making generalizations and Generalization (What I Have
abstractions about the lesson Learned)

 Let the learners sum up the

learning they got from the module. It
is found on page 14.
I. Evaluating learning Assessment (Post assessment)

 Have the learners

answer the Assessment on
pages 16-17 to test their
knowledge about the lesson.
J. Additional activities for Additional Activity
application or remediation
Almost done! In this activity, the
learners must be able to write
an essay or composition about
their chosen topic as a target
output. This will further prove
how well they learned the
lesson in this module.
