Hello and Happy Spring!

We have enjoyed a full month and are praising God for how He has been working. We
started off the month with our annual vision dinner celebrating God’s work in changing people’s
lives. We enjoyed a great meal, conversations and praising God. We also celebrate that during
the course of the evening, God provided half of our budget for next year. He is so good!
The next day, a group of about 10 students hit the road to drive to the Twin Cities. They
flew out to Panama City, Panama the next day to join other students on a “Filter of Hope”
missions trip. They delivered needed water filters to people in areas that desperately need clean
water. As they talked with people, they used the water filter as a type of allegory … just as the
water is dirty and the filter purifies the water, we too have a sin problem and Jesus is the One
who cleans our hearts. Over the course of the week, they were able to continue that conversation
and share the gospel with over 200 people. Amazingly, 82 indicated decisions for Jesus! The
students got to be the hands and feet of Jesus meeting an important physical need for clean water
and an even more important spiritual need with the gospel.
One of the students shared some great thoughts on her FB page so I thought I would
share them with you.

“¡Gloria a Dios!
Forever blessed by my week in Panama and all
the people I met. Distributing water filters to the
community of Chechebre was one of the
highlights of my life. It will forever change how I
see the world. The glory of God is truly shown
here, and I saw how abundant joy can be found in
suffering. So thankful they welcomed this group of
“gringos” into their homes, which led to many
deep and vulnerable conversations about faith
and spirituality. I’ve never felt more at home in a
place I’ve only been for a week, and I will cherish
every one of these memories.
Jesus said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.’ Mark 16:15”

I just sat and smiled as I listened to their stories and heard their excitement about
reaching the nations. I am so thankful for your giving which helped these students with some of
their travel costs. Together, we truly impact God’s kingdom and people’s lives! Thank you!
