3-MINUTE TALK
Make a 3-minute-talk video clip to answer the question you choose among the following topics.
Deadline: 5:00 P.M. 5 November, 2021
Topic 1: Do you believe that the government should protect certain industries? Why/Why not? What
about state monopolies? Do you think that they are a good or bad thing?
Topic 2: In meetings between different companies, people often ‘chat’ at the beginning and end of
meetings. Why do people tend to talk about non-business related topics at these stages of meetings? What
do you think people usually talk about? What is your advice to foreign businesspeople doing business in
your country?
Topic 3: Which of the following motivates you the most in choosing a job: money, holidays, job security,
job satisfaction, comfortable working conditions, a good social side to the job? Why?
Topic 4: How important do you think fair pay is in general? What about groups of workers, notably
women, who are consistently paid less than their male counterparts?
Topic 5: Which of the following jobs do you think should use some form of performance-related pay:
investment bankers, school teachers, professional sports players, salespeople, doctors? Which of them do
you think should be the most highly paid?
Topic 6: In many companies, the relationship between different departments can be difficult. For
example, technical staff may not want to be involved in sales issues, and sales may think that the finance
department does not appreciate their efforts. Why do you think this is?
Topic 7: What changes have happened during your lifetime in the way people shop for food? Support
your answers with appropriate examples.
Topic 8: What are some of the possible problems that cultural differences in business relationships can
lead to? What opportunities can they lead to?
Topic 9: What do you think are the levels that cultural differences in business relationships can arise at?
Support your ideas with example for each level.
Topic 10: Analyze the factors of the STEEP analysis. Provide examples to support your ideas.
