5. Objectives

1. Reduce lack of knowledge of children under 7-10 years old.

2. Educating children to concerned about their given task.
3. Reduce neglectful children by improving their knowledge about the essence
and ways about education.

6. Project description

a. Background

Introduction

The Public Reading Enhancement Youth of NSTP-CWTS students of

Catanduanes State University Chapter is composed of different Colleges. It is
the BS civil engineering and BS computer engineering.
 One of the common problem of barangay Danicop high-rate population of
children who has lack of knowledge. The barangay Danicop suffering low
education that cause lack of knowledge to children. With the help of barangay
officials and our members of Public Reading Enhancement Youth of NSTP-
CWTS students of Catanduanes State University Chapter we are cooperating
to help and solved the problem. This program will help the society of this
dilemma.

b. Justification

There is a statistic about the increase of the rate of the children who is low
on understanding and one of the places mentioned is that barangay Danicop
is one of the places who faced with the said problems. This is the reason of
the Promoting Reading Enhancement Program activity to be conducted as a
possible project to lower the increase of low on understanding.

c. Benefits derived from the project

The benefits that could be gain from this Promoting Reading

Enhancement for children on Barangay Danicop, Virac, Catanduanes. The
children who will be participating whose age range from 7-10 will be satisfied
and gain more knowledge from Reading Enhancements that will be give as
service to them. The barangay Danicop will be lessen the high-rate
population of children who is low on understanding.

d. Coverage

This project is limited to 1 area only: Barangay Danicop, Virac, Catanduanes.

This will only be conducted on the prior date, around the month of April 2022.
The children who will be able to participate should be 7–10 years old, with a
maximum number of beneficiaries of 15 needed.

7. Methodology

Planning of the Project

A project is being worked on by the NSTP-CWTS students. Their project in

the Barangay Danicop neighborhood is expected to be completed in April 2022.

Implementation
 The project was implemented by the respective NSTP-CWTS students with
the coordination of the barangay officials, in accordance with the plan about the
said project.

Monitoring and Evaluation

The professors monitored and evaluated the students based on their

cooperation in conducting the Reading Enhancement Activity and how they
behave in the said area. They also make checking of the students’ of
following the protocols of the new normal, social distancing and wearing face-
shield, face-mask.
