 1. BACKGROUND

The contract agreement for Wereda 01 Manufacturing Shade Work was signed between Kolfe
Keranyo Sub-City Construction Office and Klinton Yheyis and Their Friends Construction,
Minale Tewodros and Their Friends Construction, Hanan Olyad and Their Friends Construction
on 21/10/2011. The site handover (Which is considered the start date of works) was conducted
on 29/10/2012. The advance payment is prepared and certified by client team [Kolfe Keranyo
Sub-city construction office]. Accordingly the contractor has executed some parts of the work
especially substructure part the project as presented on appendices part later on. The consultant
hired Sichale Bruk and their friends construction consulting partnership have started consultancy
service and supervision after agreement is made on 02/04/2012. Hereunder summary of the work
to be executed is presented.

The contract agreement includes;

 EXCAVATION AND EARTH WORK, CONCRETE WORK, MASONRY WORK

SUPER STRUCTURE WORK

 CONCRETE WORK, STEEL STRUCTURE WORK, FINISHING WORK, ROOFING, AND

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION

2. WORK PROGRESS

2.1 Introduction

This document covers the progress report of Wereda 01 Manufacturing Shade of the project in
terms of time, and quality of works. Challenges, modifications, variations etc. are also included in the
report. Daily record and monthly report are prepared and this report summarizes and presents the status of
individual project and overall project within month of report.

The report is composed in to Eight sections. Section 1 provides brief background, Section 2
describe the physical status of individual projects and the site, Section 3 discuss payments made to the
contractor within month of report and related issues, Section 4 is about quality of materials, workmanship
and works on site, Section 5 states claims (time, financial and variation), Section 6 is about health, safety
and security of the site.
