Title: Hazards Around Me

PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES:

1. Adult supervision is needed. Find an adult to watch you do this experiment.

Experiments are WAY more fun and safer! with an audience.
2. Observe and practice proper hand washing before and after the task.
3. Observe proper waste disposal (biodegradable and non-biodegradable).

4. Practice safety measures in doing the task by using (plastic gloves/rubber
gloves, facemask, Eye protectors (face shield), apron/old lab gown/old cloth).

In this activity we will know the hazards near us at the same time we will know the things we have to prepare in
case that this hazard might happen.

 If we know the hazards near us then we will be ready in any disaster that might come and we will know what kind
of hazard that we are preparing for.

Objective: Conduct a hazard assessment in your community (home or other areas).

II. Procedure:

1. Conduct a hazard-hunting activity in your area. Document the said activity by taking pictures or short videos of the
hazards that were spotted. Offer suggestions as to how the hazards can be managed.

2. Upload it with proper filename convention.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic my parents didn’t allow me to go outside. Also, it is not time for rainy weather that is
why I just searched some pictures in the google. Malabon is known as the place where there is always flood in wet
season because our place is low and near the water areas.

IV. Essential Learning

a. Applications of the activity:

 I can use what I’ve learned here by being prepared when wet seasons came. We will be prepared in
case the flood rises higher and can’t be controlled.

b. Conclusion:
 In this activity I learned that our place is a hazardous place that is why I came up to the conclusion that
when its rainy days we will ready the things that we might need in case that we have to evacuate in a
more higher place.
