JOINT AFFIDAVIT OF WITNESS

(NORODIN K. BURUDAN, DOTON K. DEMAGUIL, AND NORHASIM
ABUBAKAR DIDING)

WE, NORODIN K. BURUDAN, DOTON K. DEMAGUIL, and

NORHASIM ABUBAKAR DIDING, all of legal age, Filipinos, married, and
residents of Brgy. Buayan, Municipality of Datu Piang, Province of
Maguindanao, Philippines, after having been duly sworn to in accordance with
law, hereby depose and state, that:

1. I, Norodin K. Burudan, am currently employed by the LGU of Datu Piang as

Private Secretary in the office of the Municipal Mayor.

2. I, Doton K. Demaguil, am currently employed by the LGU of Datu Piang as

Municipal Driver in the office of the Municipal Mayor.

3. I, Norhasim Abubakar Diding, am currently employed by the LGU of Datu

Piang as Municipal Security Guard Aid I.

4. On January 7, 2022, at around 7:30 pm, we were inside the compound of Mayor
Victor T. Samama when we received information from Datukong Blah Sakandal
through radio that there were seven (7) armed men near the PNP/BPAT outpost.
Immediately thereafter, we heard multiple gunshots outside which were coming
from the north side. And a few seconds later, we also heard the wheezing and
popping of bullets overhead, from the southwest side of Mayor Samama’s
compound and were actually directed at our position.

5. We were immediately on high alert. Not long after the initial firing, Johary G.
Guiamalon who was monitoring the CCTVs installed by the Municipality,
alerted us through radio that the PNP/BPAT outpost was being harassed by the
group of Fahad Paglas. The security of Mayor Victor T. Samama executed the
emergency action plan set in case of attack and we took our respective positions
securing the compound.

6. I, Norodin K. Burudan, assumed the responsibility to command and execute the

the plan. I informed and radioed all members of the PNP-MPS/AFP and BPAT
regarding the situation. Norhasim Abubakar Diding and Doton K. Demaguil also
reported to me about the situation in their respective positions and told them to
hold their positions, protect the people within their area of responsibility, and
wait for the reinforcement to come.

7. I, Norhasim Abubakar Diding, Datu Piang’s Municipal Security Guard Aide I,
assumed the responsibility of leading the Southwest side of the compound,
wherein we identified the attackers to be the group of Mike Paglas Gaga, Tohamie
Dimasangkay, and Abie Silongan Andal. We were also attacked and harassed
from the Northwest side of our Sector’s position wherein we identified the group
of Kempar Kamendan and alias Nash. We were not able to retaliate due to the
presence of civilians in the vicinity. I immediately reported the situation to
Norodin K. Burudan and asked him to call for immediate military assistance
which arrived not long after.

8. I, Doton K. Demaguil, Datu Piang’s Municipal Driver, assumed the

responsibility of the West and Northwest side of the compound. The attackers
were firing towards the direction of Abpi Samama Medical Lying-in Hospital.
We identified the attackers to be the group of Derie Paglas and alias Piyang. A
member of BPAT reported that they were also attacked and harassed from the
west side of Engr. Said Piang Bridge near the river, wherein we identified the
attacker to be the group of Hadie Paglas Gaga. Thereafter, I reported the situation
to Norodin K. Burudan and asked him to call for immediate police assistance
which arrived not long after.

9. After the arrival of the reinforcement, the fighting continued and lasted for more
than two (2) hours.

10. I am executing this affidavit to attest to the truth of the foregoing and for
any other legal purpose it may serve.
