In the fashion business, the life of products is short, may be less than a year. Therefore, the
success of this industry would depend on the ability of ensuring the availability of goods as per
customer demands. Indian companies supplying to the US market have to ensure that these
goods reach their US customers well in time for Christmas season sales. However, sometimes,
due to delays in the production or last-minute changes in the amount required, some
consignment may be get delayed.
What are the possible ways/mode of transport to deliver the goods on time? Considering that a
garment exporter in Delhi has to ensure that the goods have to reach New York within a
reasonable time to hit the stores in the US before the Christmas season begins?
