OBJECTIVES:

The statement of the problem selected for the study and its objectives are as follows:

1. To assess the level of knowledge and attitude regarding kangaroo mother care
among staff nurses before giving self-instruction module.

2. To assess the level of knowledge and attitude regarding kangaroo mother care among
staff nurses after giving self-instruction module.

3. To evaluate the effectiveness of self-instruction module in improving knowledge and

attitude among staff nurses working in selected pediatric hospital.
ASSUMPTION OF THE STUDY:

1. 1 H1:There will be significant difference between pre-test and post-test

knowledge and attitude score among staff nurses working in selected pediatric
hospital.

2. H2: There is a significant association between pre- test level of knowledge and
attitude scores of staff nurses with their selected demographical variable.

3. H0: there is no any significant relationship between pre test knowledge and
post test knowledge.
