SUMMARY REPORT
A tutorial is a teaching session given to one student or a small group of students and tutors are
educators who also help students, usually one-on-one.
To begin with, we wore our facemasks and had a social distancing to follow the minimum health protocols
of IATF. Meanwhile, since I rely on my tutee's module, the previous topic we had was about the
citizenship in a wider sense. To continue, we had the now the sectors of agriculture. Now to proceed on
the main agenda, I presented to my tutee the objectives of the lesson ofcourse and the law stated at
the module that clearly states no one is/are allowed to copyright any work of the government of the
Philippines. Instead, it needs permission from the government if it will be used for learning.
Thereafter, I started the tutorial session by giving my tutee a pre-assessment again that tests her
knowledge about the topic that serves as one of my instructional materials. After the assessment, I
introduced to her my new strategy of teaching which is the "Practice Testing" where it involves
frequent testing or quizzing over a period of time to encourage students’ recall of the material from
memory. Of course, I added self-explanation strategy. For this technique, self-explanation is similar
to elaborative interrogation, except that educators ask students to explain their thought processes,
rather than just a concept to explain how a concept relates to what they already know, or to explain
the steps taken in solving a problem.
To complete our fourth and last week of tutorial session, I provided a post-test assessment in order
for me, as her tutor, to recognize her progress and if she obtained the information. Clearly, I used
some of the same strategies I had on our previous tutorial session.
Lastly, we have added on our knowledge the different sectors of agriculture, its importance, and in
taking care and value of it.
