Performance Task
“Team Philippines”
As Regional Tourism Office Marketing Specialists, you have been given a major task by the Secretary
of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Secretary of the Department of Tourism (DOT), and Director
of the Regional Tourism Office (RTO) for a joint project. This major project is part of a tourism marketing
campaign for 2019. It will be launched on the last quarter of the present year in order to attract tourists
especially foreigners to visit the Philippines starting in January of the succeeding year. These
international tourists can be potential business investors as well. The influx of these foreign visitors
whether tourists or investors is expected to increase steadily from the first to the last quarter of 2018.
Ergo, this entire joint project is a serious responsibility for all three (3) concerned offices. In order to get
the ball rolling, you are to create an advertisement film and a bi-fold travel brochure promoting the entire
region by highlighting the salient features of its provinces—that is, one (1) advertisement film forthe
entire region and one (1) brochure for each of the provinces. As RTO Marketing Specialists, you are
assigned a two-part task. Part 1 is to produce a comprehensive, accurate, well-organized, original, and
creative advertisement film and brochure. This one can still be improved and re-submitted up until Part
2. Here, you are to orally present your final version of the film and brochure.
Goal To promote the region’s beauty, uniqueness, and splendor by highlighting its provinces’
salient features
Situation You are part of the DFA-DOT-RTO project that will create a tourism marketing
