Greetings!

In the Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2021-004, CHED and DOH outlines the process for Higher
Education Institutions (HEI’s) that intends to hold limited face-to-face classes amidst the ongoing
Covid -19 disease. The said agencies have set guidelines for the gradual resumption of limited face-
to-face classes at the tertiary level. Selected health-related degree programs, which includes the
Bachelor of Science in Community Health Management (BSCHM) is among the courses allowed for
the gradual reopening for limited face- to -face Clinical Work.

The BSCHM students were greatly affected by the pandemic since the students were not able to
complete the required number of hours in the Clinical Work. Although the health and wellness of
both our students and faculty is our primary concern, we also recognize the need of our students to
have the limited face- to -face Clinical Work for them to enhance their skills.

The College of Health Sciences particularly the Bachelor of Science in Community Health
Management is exerting all its efforts to comply with all the requirements to be able to meet the
guidelines of the limited face- to- face Clinical Work.

Relative to this, a student and parent consultation meeting was held January 26, 2022 wherein
concerns on the proposal of the gradual reopening of limited face- to- face classes have been
discussed. CHED guidelines on the said limited face- to- face classes was introduced and tackled
together with other matters like concern on clinical work fees, affiliation fees, provision of
transportation, and personal protective equipment and accommodation of students and others.

In connection to this, may we know your final stand regarding the said proposal until February 16,
2022 to give time for the college and the University to prepare the needed resources for our
students.
