State: Ashley Albrecht, Anna Kaziska, and Makenzie Marciniak.

(Senior Video)

Charlise Doctor
Joined by her mom Stephanie and her stepdad Burke, our first senior from Virginia
Beach, Virginia is Charlise Doctor!

Charlise is a double major in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science with a

minor in Chemistry. When asked “what has being a Redbird meant to you?”
Charlise said, “I wouldn’t be the person I am today if I wasn’t part of this amazing
team and the ISU community. Being a Redbird taught me how to be a leader, how
to speak up for what I believe in and most importantly showed me how be my true
self.”

Head Coach Bob Conkling said, “It has been an absolute pleasure to have Char on
our team. She has pushed herself to become one of our most consistent bar and
vault workers on the team. We will miss you!”

Ladies and gentlemen, Charlise Doctor!

Isabelle Fox
Joined by her parents, SenLy and Patrick, her brother Ethan, her grandma Twee,
and her friend Taylor, make some noise for the senior from Houston, Texas…
Isabelle Fox!

Isabelle completed her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science in 2021 and is

currently pursuing a Masters in Exercise Physiology. When asked “what has being
a Redbird meant to you?” Isabelle said, “Opportunity! Not only was I given the
chance to continue my gymnastics career, but I got to meet my family away from
home. I got two more years to do the thing that I love and do it with a team that I
felt always had my back and supported me no matter what.”

Coach Conkling says, “Izzie has been such a big help to the team’s success since
transfering from Alaska-Anchorage two years ago. The entire staff, and team, will
miss having Izzie training in the gym every day, but we may not have to say
goodbye yet, since she will still be around next year finishing her Master’s degree,
and helping the team on the other side of workouts as a volunteer coach.”

Ladies and gentlemen, Isabelle Fox!

Sofia Irabarren
Joined by her mother Ana and her sister Sara, is our third senior from Madrid,
Spain…Sofia Iribarren.

Sofia is majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology. When asked

“what has being a Redbird meant to you?” Sofia said, “Being a Redbird means
being part of something bigger than yourself. I’m so grateful for all the
opportunities the ISU community has given me that have made me grow as an
athlete and as a person. I’ve felt at home since day one and I’ll cherish these
moments forever.”

Coach Conkling said, “Sofía is always a great teammate and leads by example.
She’s been involved and keeps the team informed on SAAC and athletic
department activities. Sofía has that “elite look” to her gymnastics on every event
but especially on bars. We will miss your leadership and devotion to our team.”

Ladies and gentlemen, Sofia Irabarren!

Mia Quigg

Ryan, step mom Heather, brothers Cooper and Josiah, and grandparents Larry and
Marlene Dietz…Mia Quigg!

Mia will graduate with a degree in Exercise Science. When asked “what has being
a Redbird meant to you?” Mia said, “I am so lucky to be a part of the team and the
ISU community. I was able to find myself and be myself at ISU. Being a Redbird
has meant so much to me and I will cherish the memories I have made here for
forever.”

Coach Conkling says, “Mia has had some of the best floor choreography that the
ISU gymnastics team has ever seen. Mia also has spent many hours helping her
teammates improve their floor choreography to get that extra tenth or two higher
floor score from the judges. We really appreciate all the time Mia has spent helping
make the floor routines better. Your many artistic talents will be greatly missed by
all.”

Ladies and gentlemen, Mia Quigg!
