TECHNICAL STUDY

INTRODUCTION

After to market study is the technical study, which is the most vital part of the study for in here,
it explains the detailed description of the product, raw materials and supplies, manufacturing
process, operational procedures, plant layout, facility design, machinery and equipment, waste
disposal methods and lastly, the total production cost of the entire output.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT

Steep, Sip, Relax has a natural taste of flavored tea. Each tea bag weighs 4.5 grams. It is
packaged in a Ziplock Pouch to ensure the natural taste of the tea. The main ingredients are
Mulberry leaf and Lemongrass which have numerous benefits in the body. Mulberry leaf has
powerful components such as antioxidants that help limit damage caused by free radicals
(Familydoctor.org, 2020). It contains calcium, which is good for the bones, and treats
osteoporosis (Morgan, 2005) Vitamin C can lower blood pressure, helps to cure colds, boost the
immune system, cough and nausea.  Iron can prevent anemia. Mulberry leaf  also has Potassium,
Magnesium, and Phosphorus which are good for the body. While on the other hand, Lemongrass
prevents bacteria and can relieve swelling and pain, reducing sugar and even cholesterol. The
product is opening the doors for the utilization of plant-based materials in boosting the immune
system once you drink it. It is an affordable herbal tea that ensures the unique and natural taste of
the Mulberry leaf and Lemongrass compared to those expensive teas which are chemical-based
and have a preservative added. The estimated selling price of the product is P160 pesos per
pouch and each pouch has 10 pieces of Mulberry leaf and Lemongrass tea bags inside.

taste.
 Logo - simply and the color is attractive.

 Packaging - they have a bottle of tea and a box of tea.

 Labeling - not understandable because of the language used.
 Taste - taste like a natural tea and taste milky

has since we're here in the Philippines.

Manufacturing Process
Sanitation and wearing of proper clothing and protection like face masks and gloves must be
done before the start of production to make sure that the tea being manufactured is clean and safe
from any dirt, germs, and viruses. Not only should the workers themselves be clean and sanitized
but also the work table and the materials and tools needed to make the Mulberry leaf and
Lemongrass tea. The tools to be used should be checked to make sure they are functioning well
to avoid any accidents. The working hours from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm are to be strictly
followed. The production process itself will be regularly monitored and all the outputs will
undergo inspection and quality control to ensure that the products we send out are of the very
best quality.

Waste Disposal Method

Waste management is the process of treating solid wastes and offers variety of solutions for recycling
items that don’t belong to trash. It is about how garbage can be used as a valuable resource. Waste
management is something that each household and business owner in the world needs.

The sanitation is one of its priorities to maintain the cleanliness of the company. This will also aid
in preventing pollution contribution in the environment. The company will put into practice the proper
waste segregation. Trash bins will be distributed properly in premises.

Every end of the production, an assigned production worker will facilitate the waste disposal.
Waste of mulberry leaves and lemongrass will be segregated individually since these are biodegradable in
form. Packaging wastes will be optimized for sale so that it can generate income. All wastes that can be
sold to companies which are making by-product are strategic move to have extra earnings for the
company.

The Garbage will be collected by the sanitary collector of Guagua every 3 days. Trash bags
funding and an on-call worker will be responsible in the waste disposal of the company. P350 is the
budget for monthly waste management. It is estimated to have P4,200 waste disposal cost per year, and it
is assumed to have an 1% increase per year.
