INTERIOR LIGHTING

3. Driver(s) and LEDs shall be serviceable on site without any possible risk to maintaining
luminaire photometry.
4. Driver(s) shall be current regulated +/- 5% including temperature variations.
5. Driver(s) Housing should be encapsulated with minimum IP65. Supply Voltage should be
60 Hz, 100-277V(phase voltage) with dimming functionality if dimming luminaire is
required.
6. Driver(s) shall be able to operate within a frequency range of 60Hz and 230VAC with
dimming functionality.
7. Driver(s) Ambient Temperature rating shall be from -25°C to 50°C.
8. Driver(s) Case (Tc) Temperature rating shall be at least 75°C.
9. Driver(s) shall have an Active Power Factor, PF ≥ 0.95.
10. Driver(s) shall be Class I protected against electric shock following director indirect
contact.
11. Driver(s) shall be equipped with protection against short circuit, mains voltage spikes,
and overloads.
12. The LED circuitry shall prevent flicker perceptible to the unaided eye over the voltage
range specified above.
E. LED Luminaire Warranty Requirement
1. The manufacturer shall provide written warranty on the housing and mechanical parts for
10 (ten) years.
2. The manufacturer shall provide a written warranty against defects in materials and
workmanship for all internal components of the luminaires for a minimum period of 5
years after delivery of the luminaires to RCJ.
3. The manufacturer shall provide written warranty that the luminous flux of the LED
luminaires will be at least maintained for five years at a level that corresponds to the L70*
B50 value.
4. The manufacturer shall provide written warranty that all drivers and power supply units
(PSUs) will be included into LED luminaire warranty.
5. Warranty should be for a minimum of 5 years & include the following:
a. Total fixture replacement for any failure (including all internal components of the
luminaire).
b. Total fixture replacement for lumen depreciation beyond 30% over lifetime.
c. Total fixture replacement if more than 10% of the chips burn (fail).
d. Total fixture replacement if the color deviates or changes more than 10% from the
original specifications.
2.05 LUMINAIRE CONTROL
A. Switching of Luminaires
1. Switching is influenced by many factors such as distance of luminaires from panelboards,
their positioning, possible need for multipoint switching, safety and security requirements.
2. Switching of Indoor Lighting
a. Individual Luminaires or group of Luminaires shall be controlled by means of snap
action toggle switches subject to the limitations on the switch ratings. Alternatively,
large blocks of lighting may be controlled manually or automatically from the lighting
