I did my service hours for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. My mom is the Executive director for the Pittsburgh Chapter.

Growing up I was always involved in the community; I would go to walks and fundraisers they would have set up. My mom made

sure I helped out at her events and assist one of her workers throughout the day. I learned more about CF and enjoy helping out at

the events now that I know more about it. I helped volunteer at a cycle for life event. This event is like other events and is for

raising money for CF. People volunteer to help out at events, and we all have different assignments. People register to cycle, and

we help set up the course, get food and drinks, and anything else we’re asked to do. I enjoy helping others and getting involved in

Self Evaluation

I think I performed my task very well, I worked hard and

enjoyed doing it. I worked well with the other volunteers

and I did as I was told. I love helping at an event because I
know they’re raising money for a good cause. I could’ve
done more hours but I didn’t, it was still a good couple
experiences though. I stayed a long time at the cycle for
life, usually for me its 5 am- 5 pm. Setting up and taking
down takes a while. I didn’t encounter any problems, and
the good qualities were helping people.

 Service as the life of Christ
When I help others I feel good inside, it makes me feel as
if I made a difference in the world. When I do stuff like
that I walk around with my head held high happy about
what I did. When I see videos about people with CF or
posts about people talking about CF I think about how
blessed I was not to have it. The least I could do is try to
help raise money for a cure. Every event that takes place
raises money to help find a cure. I hope they do soon.
Seeing people with CF struggle makes me s\upset and I
pray for them as much as I can. When I pray to God for
strength to get me through tough times he helps me, I
know he is walking with and guiding the people with CF.
