ASSESSMENT:

1. Draw a Volleyball Court and label it (Both the dimensions of the lines and the zones and areas).
(10pts)
I’ll took a photo of my drawing sir and pass it separately.

2. What composed a team in Volleyball? Describe their duties and responsibilities. 15pts
In a volleyball team it consists of six players, three of them take the forward position
and the other three playing the back court.
 The Setter- its main job is to put the ball in the perfect place for the attackers.
Typically, they will pass the ball to the other player and take the second touch.
They will try to put the ball softly in the air at just the right height for an attacker
to spike the ball to the opponent’s court.
 The Middle blocker- this volleyball position is both the main blocker and the
attacker for the middle of the net.
 The outside hitter- it focused on the left side of the court and generally the main
attacking positions. They tend to get the most of the sets and the most attacking
shots in the game.
 The weekside hitter- its position is on the right side of the court. Its primary job
is blocking against the other teams outside hitter.
 Liberos- it is responsible for defense. This player will receive or dig the attack.
3. Who are the team leaders in Volleyball? Describe their duties and responsibilities. 15pts
The team leaders in Volleyball are the Tactical leaders, Physical leaders, and the
Emotional leaders.

 Tactical leaders are know how to devise game plans that work. When it comes
to strategy, this is the person that the team wants to hear from. They know how
to beat any team on the schedule and they can communicate what to do to
their team.
 Physical leadership is usually left to the best player on the floor. There is usually
at least one go-to player that the team can count on to make great plays
throughout the match. This person is usually the one the team uses most often
to score points and the one the ball goes to when the game is on the line.
 Emotional leaders are there to pump up their teams when the energy level is
down. But their leadership doesn't end when the game does. Emotional leaders
are the ones that players come to after the game to talk about any issues
they're having with the coach and other players. Often this person is counted on
to solve problems within the team and an integral part of keeping the inner
workings of the squad smooth.
4. How to score a point, to win a set and the match in volleyball? Discuss further. (10pts)
Matches are played best of five sets. The first four sets are played to 25 points, with the
final set being played to 15 points. A team must win a set by two points. There is no
ceiling, so a set continues until one of the teams gains a two-point advantage.
Previously, all sets were to 15 points, with the first four sets having a ceiling of 17 and
the final set requiring at least a two-point winning advantage.
5. What are the faults in playing the ball? Explain briefly. (10pts)
 Four Hits: a team contacts the ball more than 3 times in addition to blocking.
Penalty: Side-Out
 Assisted Hit: a player takes support from a teammate or other object/structure
to reach the ball within the playing area. Penalty: Side-Out
 Catch: a ball is caught and thrown rather than rebounded off a player’s body.
Penalty: Side-Out
 Doubt Contact: a player contacts the ball with any part of their body more than
once in succession. Penalty: Side-Out

6. What are the limitations of a libero player? Explain further. 10pts
The libero is restricted to performing as a back-row player and is not allowed to
complete an attack hit from anywhere (including playing court and free zone) if at the
moment of contact the ball is entirely above the top of the net. The libero may not
serve, may not block and may not attempt to block.
