Pre-assessment of current knowledge: I will play different sounds (music, animal noises, people talking, and instruments) to see how the child responds when
hearing the different sounds. When people are talking does the child move their head or eyes to look at the people talking. Observe how the child reacts to
different genres of music. Observe of the child makes any movements or facial expressions when hearing any specific sounds. This pre-assessment will give me
some idea of the child’s response to sounds before beginning this lesson with the child.

During this lesson the teacher will make observations and
write their observations down on paper for each child. The
teacher will write down what movements, facial
expressions, and imitating the child does during this
lesson. During their observations with each child the
teacher will also write based on what they have observed if
they believe that the child in meeting the objectives/skills
and expectations (mimicking the teachers’ movements,
moving the scarf in their hand around, showing expression
in their face).

Procedural steps:
1. To begin the lesson the teacher will first gather all of
child into one area.
2. Once all the children are in a contained area the
teacher will place children either laying on their
backs or on a seat that allows for them to sit up.
3. Next, the teacher will provide the children will

role. The adults will need to be in charge of getting the
children in a contained area so that they teacher does not
lose sight of any of the children. The teacher will also need
to put the music on for the children and interact with the
children while the music plays. Lastly, the teacher will need
to make notes and observations for each child about their
movement, expressions, and other notes during this lesson.
