Mechanical Technician/Lead Mechanical Technician

Responsibilities:

 Removal, Overhaul and Reinstatement of Ebara Cryogenic submersible Pump


 Preventive and Corrective Maintenance on Fin Fans, pump, and compressors in line
with work instructions
 Removal, recertification, and reinstatement of relief valves in line with work
instruction in order to maintain plant integrity in terms of process safety
 Overhaul of centrifugal pumps safely and efficiently
 Mechanical seal replacement on pumps
 Condition monitoring on key process equipment
 Ensure personnel work in line with safety requirement of PTW
 Scoping and planning of maintenance activities
 Carries out failure investigation, data collection and preparation of failure reports.
Participates in and contributes to RCM teams and other improvement initiatives.
 Ensure technicians comply with the PPE requirement as specified in the JHA
 Carry out regular safety walkabout on worksites, assign action items to the parties
involved and follow up on implementation of the observed non-compliance,
 Organizing Safety Toolbox Talk, last minute risk assessment and post job briefing.
 Excellent use of measuring equipment and hydraulic tools
 Partook in the safe and flawless execution of shutdown on Train 1
 Excellent use of PACER(CMMS) to raise job request, input job history and close out
job requisitions
 Inspection, re-gasketing and reinstatement of Plate Heat exchangers.
 Carry out removal of filter, inspection of filter housing and replacement with new
filters.
 Removal of shell and tube Exchanger, coordinate inspection, hydro jetting of the
exchanger, pressure test and reinstate thereafter
 Laser Alignment on Key rotating Equipment.
 Positive Isolation of process equipment in line with OPS requisition
 Good use and understanding PEFS and Equipment Drawings.
 Involved in the safe removal, installation, and commissioning of key process
equipment (Pumps, valves, compressor, heat exchangers, gearboxes, vessels etc.)
 Ensure tolerances and fits are strictly adhered to in line with OEM requirement
 Carry out preventive maintenance on emergency diesel generators
 Ensure that intrusive opening procedure is strictly adhered to while intruding into
the process (e. g Relief valve removal and reinstatement)
 Ensure that PGM is used while carrying out hot/gas work in plant area
 Share local and industry related LFI’s during Safety TBT
 Ensure that a trained watch man is assigned for all confine space jobs
 Carry out other responsibility as assigned by my supervisor
