Knowledge in IB is known to be valid
and verified from strong sources and
evidence supported by many Facts and
Opinions along with Data. Information
that can be applied to the world around is
considered valuable. IB also makes sure
that the information taught through the
course is still relevant today.
2. A. Usually knowledge can be shared in a
variety of different ways mainly through
communicating ideas and opinions. It can
be person to person, individual to group, or
group to group. People share knowledge
through many channels such as
conversations, meetings, learning sessions,
workshops, videos and other
communication media. Verbal
communication and written
communication is are very strategic and
successful strategies to share knowledge.
2. B. Knowledge is conventionally shared through spoken
and written mediums, such as conversations, speeches, and
documents. However, the other forms of communication
that I’ve noticed are people creating graphic presentations
without much text for audiences with disabilities to help
them better comprehend a topic and acquire knowledge
without speech or text.
6. B) Asking the students who
already studied in the IBDP
program as to how they felt about
the program as a whole and what
their experience was and what they
would have liked to do better in
the program that would have made
learning more efficient.

3. A) Teachers, textbooks, notes and
other forms of media are crucial
sources of information which helps to
enhance one’s knowledge in the IB
program.
B) Teachers and books are primarily
validated by previous trusted sources
of information, such as an experienced
scientist in that field of study or a
teacher.
6. A) the IBDP program is quite
neutral since we look at a specific
subject from a broader view point
by including different perspectives.
Thus, it isn’t influenced by any
external source, making IB
objective.
4. A AND B) Assessments are a
common way of demonstrating, but
can be limited. These are ordinary
ways or constructing knowledge.
Sources are given credibility by legal
certificates and allow us to learn
through experience. An approach to
reach a solution or finding a
conclusion is often not discussed or
captured in IB assessments which
doesn’t give IB students enough
practice on planning.
3. C) Information that has only been
thoroughly researched and checked is
emphasised. Information that hasn’t
been authenticated by trusted
sources is thereby neglected as we
would be potentially spreading false
information.
5. B) I give the same amount of
time both to school learning
and “outside of classroom”
learning since it improves my
efficiency and it makes me a
balanced student. I would read
other textbooks that cover the
same topic to ensure that all the
data relates and matches.
5. A) Information obtained
outside of the classroom has
its limits and benefits: one
limit is that we aren’t assured
that the knowledge acquired
is completely true. One
benefit is that acquiring
knowledge outside the
classroom enables us to
broaden our understanding
in much more depth than is
possible in the classroom.
