IMPLEMENTATION

reason it is important for them to know. This lesson should be in the beginning of the year so that when they have their first online assignment of
zoom class, they have knowledge of what they should and should not be clicking on or who they should not be talking to.
1. Whether it is a blendind class, all students are in class, or all students are online, the students will be shown the BrainPop Jr video about
internet safty and given or sent a worksheet to fill out. Tell the children that they need to pay close attention and answer the worksheet
because they will be asked questions afterwords. You can play it a second time if it is needed.
2. After the BrainPop, ask the students about the information in it, such as "what do you do when your computer asks you to download
something?" or "if someone sends you a message that you do not recognize, who are you going to tell?" and make sure they fill in the
correct answers on the sheet if they were wrong before.
Procedure
3. Tell the students to study the worksheet and give then another with the link to Dinopass for homework.
4. The next day, have the students each write one of the passwords they got on the board and talk about how they all work because they do
not have any significant value or important information.
5. Let them keep their paper to look at and tell them that they will need to study their two worksheets for a test in the next couple days.
6. When it gets to the day that you want to test the students, tell them to take everything off of their desks except for a pencil and make sure
they are spread out so they cannot look at each others papers.
For special education students, they will be given a word/sentence bank for their worksheet during the BrainPop so that they will be able to keep
