Christ the Good
Shepherd calls us to
listen consciously,
deliberately, wisely
for his voice in the
depths of our hearts,
to listen for his voice
in the love and joy,
the pain and anguish, the cries for mercy and justice of
those around us; Christ the Son of God assures us that
we are always safe and accepted in the loving embrace
of his Father.
Christ speaks in many voices — including our
own. We can be the “voice” of Christ’s compassion,
comfort, forgiveness and peace in even our smallest and
simplest words and acts of kindness and generosity.
Jesus calls each one of us to take on the role of
“shepherd”: to walk and lead one another through the
steep paths and dangerous ridges we all must walk, not
diminishing the danger or pain but helping one another
make our way through it. The challenge of taking up
the Good Shepherd’s staff is to face the truth despite
our own fears, to search for God’s light (if only a
flicker) in the midst of overwhelming darkness, to reach
out to grab another despite our own tenuous grasp.
SPANISH MASS
The Spanish Mass will be celebrated
every other week at 7:00 p.m. Next

create handcrafted shawls
for parishioners, their
families and friends who
are coping with illness, loneliness, pain or trouble.
They are available to anyone who needs one. Please
call the office to request a shawl or lap blanket or if you
would like to join this ministry.
POPE FRANCIS’ MAY INTENTIONS
For faith-filled young people
We pray for all young people, called to live life to the
fullest; may they see in Mary’s life the way to listen,
the depth of discernment, the courage that faith
generates, and the dedication to service.
A Prayer for All Mothers
God our Creator, we pray:
for new mothers, coming to terms with new
responsibility;
for expectant mothers, wondering and waiting;
for those who are tired, stressed or depressed;
for those who struggle to balance the tasks of work
and family;
for those who are unable to feed their children due to
poverty;
for those whose children have physical, mental or
emotional disabilities;
for those who have children they do not want;
for those who raise children on their own;
for those who have lost a child;
for those who care for the children of others;
for those whose children have left home; and
for those whose desire to be a mother has not been
fulfilled.
Bless all mothers, that their love may be deep and
tender, and that they may lead their children to know
and do what is good, living not for themselves alone,
but for God and for others. Amen.
YOU ARE INVITED TO MEET THE BISHOP
The Bishop will be here to administer the sacrament of
Confirmation on May 28th. All are welcome to come
meet Bishop Bergie @ 10:15 a.m. in the Angelina
Prokich Great Hall. The Confirmation mass will follow
at 11:00 a.m. in the church. (This does not fulfill your
Sunday obligation.)
SEPARATED & DIVORCED
Every second and fourth Monday of the month from
7:00-9:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Spiritual Centre, 7020
Stanley Ave., Niagara Falls. Pre-registration is
required. Meetings will be held both in person at Mount
Carmel and virtually via Zoom platform. Next session
