Task 1: 1. In your opinion, what is the relationship between culture and commerce in tourism?

2. In what ways can tourism be helpful in a community? In what ways can it be harmful?

1) The relationship between culture and commerce in tourism is closely related and inseparable.
Tourist cultures such as handicrafts, traditional cuisine have attracted and become an
indispensable part to create perfect vacations for visitors. Since then, the products of culture in
tourism are the motivation for commerce to develop. An example is the Hmong ethnic group in
Sapa in the past, rely on farming and breeding, their lives were indigent because of challenging
conditions. But tourism develops, Hmong villages have beautiful landscapes and retain their
cultural identities, becoming attractive tourist destinations. As a result, the economic life of the
Hmong is improved. They switched to producing brocade products, jewelry, leading tourists…
instead of farming as before. We can see that culture affects the commercial aspect of tourism.
2) Tourism development offers opportunities to restore and develop a number of traditions,
customs, and community cultures such as traditional handicraft products, brocade, folk music,
cuisine, etc. Traditional festivals gradually attract the participation of tourists, contributing to
the development of traditional cultural values and community connection. In addition, it also
creates jobs, improves incomes, and improves community life. Besides, tourism has threats to
the community. From the large number of visitors, it is possible to disrupt the peace of the
natural environment. This can be troublesome for local residents and other visitors including
wildlife. The uncontrolled development of tourism activities can cause ecological disturbances:
noise, hunting alters habitats, plants and animals can’t stand to survive

Task 2:

When someone mention a special place of natural beauty, I guess my choice is going to be HAAT.
HAAT is an old town located in Hoai River, QN Province. The ancient beauty is immaculate in each
tile roof, brick and tree. Each house in HA ensure harmony between living space and nature. There
are many must-go destinations such as Cham island, seven acres coconut forest, An Bang beach,...
but It will be a mistake if u travel to HA without visitng the Hoài River. Sitting on the boat, drop
Flower Garland and Coloured Lanterns on the romantic river in the evening, it is an engaging
experience.

Not tao zo

I have been walking around in the ancient town of Hoi An, and according to what I observed,
tourism has a positive impact on the local people here, providing occupations for people to
supplement their income, such as selling boat tickets, souvenirs, or speciality cuisines. However, the
enormous number of tourists makes the old town busy and stuffy in the evening. There is no longer
the inherent peace and nostalgia of this place. Due to the lack of planning as well as the narow
roadway, the traffic outside the pedestrian street is crowded and messy

For the environment, I think not only in Hoi An, but almost any tourist destination, there is a
problem of waste: plastic bags, waste food and many other types of garbage thrown in the wrong
places. contaminate land and water. More and more vehicles participating in tourism activities such
as boats, cars and motorbikes are a significant cause of dust and environmental pollution.

Task 3:

There is no doubt about “Everyone should fail at least once in a career. You can learn a lot from
failure”. At least once in your life, you are going to fail at something. Failure is
inevitable. Even successful people make mistakes. If we don't make mistakes, we lose the
opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and learn lessons. No child learns to walk without
falling, right? 😉Failure is a necessary experience if we want to achieve success.

This is not to break your spirit, but to help you. Instead of brooding, ask yourself, "What did I do
wrong?" That way, next time, you can fix the problem and do a better job than before. Mistakes are the
best teacher. You learn a lot from failure

Because after each failure, we will find the cause of the work's error, help us gain experience and
help us avoid mistakes and take the next step to success.

Sepak Takraw is a sport that originated in Southeast Asia. It is a popular sport in Thailand,
Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Cambodia, and Laos. It is similar to volleyball, but
the rattan ball uses a ball made of rattan and only allows players to use their feet, knees, chest and
head to touch the ball.

At the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), Thailand is the strongest country in this sport. It is said
that Sepak Takraw appeared 500 years ago as football of Siam (formerly known as Thailand).
According to the French historian François Henri Turpin, the Siamese play rattan ball to keep fit.

Sepak Takraw has two versions. The first version is not a competition, but a combination of skills
to practice bodybuilding, improve dexterity, relax limbs after a long time of sitting, standing or
working. By the 1940s, the second version was released, as known as grid version, and the basic
rules of the game. This version makes the game really a competition between two teams. This sport
also officially became one of the competition contents of the SEA Games.
